TVLand is showing a "That Girl" marathon this weekend.

Ive been watching on & off..... lo & behold, there's Regis in an episode called, "The Cake."

He was 40 years old then but looked a lot younger.

I never hated it but it was kind of dumb.

It was sure a lot better than crap like "Gilligan's Island" and "The Munsters." lol

If I ever met a leprechaun, I imagine he'd look a lot like Regis. Just a little (ok, a lot) shorter and wearing less expensive clothes. lol

why not use Mark, Mel? he's younger and you could stuff him in your pocket?

Okay now; that's one of my favorite childhood shows. Thanks for the heads up; just turned it on. lol Yes, it's a lot better than Gilligan.

I don't remember "The Cake" but I'm sure I've seen it. Funny that Regis was in that episode.

Regis has always, and still, looks much younger than his years...

Though, at age 40, I'm sure he was taller... <wink>

;0))

Best character on the show? Her dad, hands down.

I love watching the old sitcoms & shows & seeing all the stars of yesteryear.

Jack Cassidy was on an earlier episode. Eh. He never really appealed to me.

Now that I'm a grown up, I agree.

As a kid, I hated him. He was so mean and nasty. lol

I always did see the humor in him; even as a kid.

You were more mature than I was. lol

TVLand was also showing Marlo's "Free To Be... You And Me." I caught a few minutes last night and then some this afternoon. I never saw that... so it was a trip to watch it for the first time.

Michael Jackson was in it... he was black then. Yikes! That's a long time ago. lol

(Kind of sad when you know what his life turned out to be, when he grew up)

He was always a handsome devil:-) LOVED that show, hated that the last name was "Marie". I was always saying "Ann Marie, what?", LOL:-) Loved the theme song when they added lyrics; very groovy. I even liked her squeaky voice. Glad they are airing this. TV Land was starting to worry me with all that Bonanza, Mr. T, stuff.

LOL My older sister used to point out to me how funny he was, so that might have helped me see him that way.

RE: Jacko. It is startling to see how different he looked then. And it is very sad; I was a big fan of the Jackson 5 and later, Michael.

I wonder if they're going to continue airing the show after the marathon? I checked but so far haven't found it in the listings at TVGuide.com.

I hope they ARE adding it to the lineup but I don't think they will..... it seems they are doing marathons every weekend now.

I'm also sick of Bonanza and Gunsmoke, too. I prefer lighter entertainment on these channels.

I really liked MJ in the old days too. He really had an amazing voice as a child and was so exciting in the 70s and 80s. It's so sad how his life fell apart.

I've thought about e-mailing them about that very thing before. Maybe we all should. I'd like to see That Girl, Mary Tyler Moore, etc. instead.

About MJ; I still enjoy his music (that and J5) when I hear it, but it does make me sad that he had to turn into a freak and all that followed. :(
