I received two items this past week that I wanted to review. I hope others will join me reviewing recent purchases.

(1) I got the Kathy Van Zeeland TSV wallet on a string (A3633). Took me a long time to decide between the chocolate and lipstick red colors and I got the red. The color is beautiful (glad I got the red) and so is the leather and suede, esp. the leather. However, I'm not sure I'm keeping it. As I thought when KVZ demo'd it, the zip part for coins is way too small. It won't hold many coins but actually, that doesn't matter because you can barely fit your fingers into it. I saw that when she was demo'ing it, but thought it might be better in person. It's not. So, I'd have to use the larger zip center compartment to keep coins in (there is an open pocket inside it would would probably work to hold coins) but I really didn't want to keep money in that larger compartment which is for other things - cosmetics, keys, brush, etc. If only the coin part was larger, I'd keep it for sure but as it is now, coins will be a problem. Unlike KVZ purses with all that hardware & charms attached, this wallet isn't too heavy. I really do like it but it's probably going back because of the lack of coin compartment issue. What a shame to ruin the wallet's utility by not making that zip compartment large enough to be useful for anything.

(2) I got the Joan Rivers purse charm watch that was an OTO and sold out really quickly (J12839). I got the black. The reason I bought it is that sometimes I forget to put my watch on, which I find very inconvenient, esp. when out doing errands, and then I have to ask people what time it is. If my watch is attached to my purse that will come in very handy. I like this item very much, but wish it had been cheaper than $40 as the OTO. If it had been, I'd have gotten both colors, black and red. The only drawbacks about this is that it's a little heavier for a charm than I'd like to carry, although it's not bad at all for a watch and I actually thought it might be heavier. Also, as I thought from its demo on TV, the face is a bit cheap looking - I think the numbers are only painted on - not raised and individually attached which is a lot classier on a watch face than painted on numbers. But, still, it's pretty and will be very useful I think. I will keep it as long as it keeps good time. I have it set now and should be able to tell by tomorrow whether it's keeping accurate time.

Okay....I purchased the buffet warmer TSV and put it through its paces this holiday season. With the 3 tray configuration (I also bought the 2 larger trays), this thing holds a ton!!! One 13 x 9 pan of cheese potatoes did NOT fill up one of the 3 containers!!! I set the warmer on HIGH and it kept the potatoes, bacon & sausage, and the meatballs nice and HOT. I've used it 4 times now and it hasn't let me down. Easy to clean, too. It's the best TSV I've gotten in a long time.

I'm also pleased with the Tova TSV set. I really like that I can spray the extra "note" I wish to accentuate in the Tova perfume AND I got the shower gels to go with the set. I especially like the lavendar - yum!!

I also bought a Dennis Basso coat (I have many that I love) A63599 in olive. It's not cheap, but it is one awesome looking jacket on!!! It's NOT bulky, even though it's fur lined (many that are fur lined just look too bulky on me). It runs a bit bigger than some of his other styles so I got a medium. This is a a really flattering coat!!

I too, ordered the KVZ TSV in red and received it yesterday. I am definitely returning it; my heart shaped padlock has a scratch on it and along with all the things Hershey mentioned, I find the shoulder strap to be very cheap looking.
Alas, I really AM a handbag snob.........LOL

*very odd* I also had ordered the flip-top jewelry travel case as a gift for someone and in the box was a "cooks essentials non-stick bakeware set"!!!!!!! I was charged for the jewelry case and that was what was on the invoice but this is the first time anything like this has happened to me with the Q...........must have been a similar item # OR they are crazed during the holiday rush! I'm sad because someone out there who wanted the bakeware may be looking at my jewelry case thinking: "Huh"??
I have to call them today and get this worked out somehow.

I ordered a leather and faux chinchilla vest from Terry Lewis. It really was cute and more flattering than I thought, but at $150 it just wasn't cute ENOUGH. I already sent it back.

I may reorder it if I see it on clearance, though.

I ordered the Margherita chain bracelet (I have the necklace which I love). The bracelet came; it was lovely. The first time I wore it, it broke. Back it went. I had also ordered a marcasite swirl ring. It was beautiful. The first time I wore it, a stone fell out. Back it went. I called customer service and reported the problems. Told the rep I just wanted a refund, because if these items were that fragile, I did not want replacements. I gotta say - the Q is slipping on quality. Oh, one other thing - when the bracelet arrived, that was all that was in the package. No billing slip, no Q program - just the bracelet. I had to print the order info from QVC.com to send back with the bracelet. Yep - gettin' sloppy they are.

Sparks, they are going to get a lot of those wallets back because there is no place to keep the change. My heart charm was OK. But another thing about it I was too lazy to write last night. One side of the strap attaches to one side of the wallet and the other strap attached to the other side of the wallet. Because of this design, it's hard to unzip w/out making sure the straps aren't in the way. Did you notice that? I'm definitely sending mine back. Also the tissue stuffed into it so it keeps its shape was caught in my zipper (but I uncaught it).

Pandagirl, I understand about its not being cute enough. By the way, there was a coupon online for 10% off all online orders last night, which I didn't see til I went to HSN's web at about 11:00 pm last night. Just as well, I could have done some damage. Anyway, place that vest in your wish list of items and you can keep checking it; the price goes down in your wish list when they reduce the price so you can just keep checking your wish list to see when it gets reduced! (maybe you already knew that...)

I recently bought two chrome diopside rings, one from QVC and another from HSN.

The QVC ring is a gift for a girlfriend, and it's gorgeous (J03238), much better in person.

The HSN ring was for me. I was hoping to stack it along with my other stackers ... but I don't think I'm loving it (185-276). It's a bit too contemporary for me. I do love chrome diopside ... so maybe I'll keep it just for the stones ... I have til Jan 31 to decide! :-)

I was sure tempted a few times last night with Lisa (Arte d'Oro). The button earrings, the pearl and bead necklace. VERY pricey ... so my hubby will be happy to know I did not jump! lol ...

I bought the CaddyO leather wine tote w/chiller and tools (K5858) when it was a TSV. I got one each in the burgundy and the black, prefering the black one out of the two. I was surprised at how heavy and substantial the tote really is..the leather is extremely nice...the zipper works great. It comes with a freezable chiller and different wine accessories that are tucked into little soft leather pouches that attach to the tote itself. It's all in a white box imprinted with a red bow. The only thing I would change is the packaging. They tucked all of the pouches and the strap inside the tote. If you put a bottle of wine inside to give as a gift and attach the pouches and strap to the outside of the tote, it all won't fit back inside the gift box. I'll just have to give the wine separately.

Also purchased 14K gold diamond cut teardrop dangle earrings in Christmas tree box (J10585). I got them in the yellow gold. The earrings are really pretty...the diamond cutting makes them flash and gleam in the light. They're small and not too dangly. The ceramic Christmas tree box is cute but REALLY hard to get open. I had to get my daughter to open it..I couldn't do it without ripping off a fingernail.

I got the HP camera/printer combo that was the TSV on Saturday, 12/16 that sold out before noon! I haven't opened it yet because it is a gift for my boyfriend, hopefully everything works well. I also received a Dialogue sweater, which I really like, a Zero Xposure jacket that I love (this is my third one, I really love this line of coats), 2 candle sets (Old Virginia Candle, and Valerie Par Hill). The scents are amazing, I got VPH Cinnabon (smells just like the real thing!) and Old Virginia Bakery scent (Divine!!). I ordered a slew of other things, but can' remember a lot of them now. I have more packages coming this week! YAY!

Really, Sparkles? I sent the VPH Cinnabon set back, which wasn't cheap, because it hardly smelled of anything! I love the smell of Cinnabon and I was so disappointed in them!

I have the OVC bakery scent triple candle - don't know if that's the same one you got or not - and I love it!

I wrote on another thread that I bought the Joy Mangano Huggable Hangers when they were the recent TS--the TS set sold out so they were selling a different configuration at the same price/piece ($1 a hanger). After I ordered 100 I read the reviews and almost canceled, because they were not very positive--glad I didn't, they're great! I bought the suit style because they looked sturdier and they work fine with shirts and sweaters. I was going to re-do the closet as a surprise for my husband right before Christmas, but I couldn't wait and did it on Saturday--I put in new wood shelving, and some Lori Greiner canvas sweater/shoe/purse hanging shelves, etc. too, and got rid of a lot of old stuff. It was down to the wire--I felt that frantic times-up feeling you get on all the surprise makeover shows. It turned out so great--I love to just walk in and look around.

New Year's Resolution: Keep up the closet!

Hershey~ I didn't get that far, but wallet bag straps or any handbag straps that are designed that way are a real pet-peeve with me. I already mailed it back. I'm disappointed, because I need something RED, and this looked so cute. Ahhhh, such problems! LOL

LOL Yeah, Sparks, you've got the weight of the world on your shoulders with that one!

I just got back from Macy's (big sale today) where I looked at the KVZ bags. I large red one in that exact same leather caught my eye. The leather was really pretty. I think that was the ideal red for a bag, a deep blue/red. And the leather in the bag was soooo soft. I saw almost all the ones there that they sold on QVC during her last appearance.

NO, I left ticked off! There was a sign on all the KVZ - 20% off using your Macy's credit card, which I have. So I was thinking about it and asked the saleswoman a question when she said "oh, that sign is from yesterday; someone forgot to remove it. They aren't 20% off today." I could have made a stink with the manager and gotten the 20% but I didn't really need another handbag and didn't feel like an argument with the manager. Also, I went to use a great coupon in the paper - $10 off a purchase of $25 or more (and I would have used that coupon too to get 20% off plus another $10 - making it waaaaay cheaper than getting it from QVC not to mention no S&H) BUT the fine print on the coupon said it was good until 1:00pm today or after 7:00 pm. I was there at 2:30. So that ticked me off too. That small print was so hard to see that I could hear a lot of disgruntled customers around me complaining about it. What a stupid coupon. So I was just fed up with the store and left. I really loved one of the red bags, though and if I could have gotten both discounts, I probably would have bought it!

Macy's is one of my favorite stores. The closest one is about 125 miles away.
I shop there about once a month. I go on base every Sunday to get an Atlanta paper just to check the sales and the coupons. I love Charter Club.

I'm surprised Hershey, that you didn't like the Cinnabon candles....Maybe you got a bad batch or something, because mine are so fragrant, even my BF noticed the house smelled like Cinnabons, and he never notices anything!

I do have the OVC in Bakery, I adore the scent!! And the jar is so pretty too!

To add to my list, I just received my Diamonique watch I ordered the other day. It is very pretty, but I'm mad at myself for ordered another watch. Seriously, how many does one need!?! :) But the price was good, and it was on EZ pay, so I went for it!! :ducks head in shame:

I have been wearing the Quacker Factory Inspiring Words Burnout Velvet shirt to all the holiday parties this year & I don't care what anyone says about QF, this shirt is FABULOUS.

It is not cheesy or over the top at all. It's so pretty with the words 'Peace, Love, Dream, Believe' in burnout in beautiful script vertically on the velvet. And, it is SO slimming! You look so sleek & chic in it! I love it so much, I ordered another one! Can't believe it's Savings on Style priced. I got so many compliments on it.

Also got the hubby the TSV Panasonic Wet/Dry shaver. Hope he likes it.

And, after being besieged at stores the past couple days between overzealous salespeople & Xmas crowds, I have a new love for shopping from the quiet, comfort and safety from my home & having the goods delivered to my door.

I got both in black. I'm saving the second one to replace when the first one wears out. It's so perfect around the holidays, but really is a year-round item.

I bought multiple OVC sets - H97888 in Winter Moments, H97887 Colored Jar Candle w/ Santa and Bears and a few others. I did not like the Winter Moments one, it's something about that New Fallen Snow scent that I didn't like, but I did like the topper, so I gave the candle to a neighbor who did love it and kept the topper! (Hope she doesn't read this! lol) We agreed on a 20.00 limit so keeping the topper technically kept me under that limit :o)

I bought the Amazing Grace TSV and wasn't sure about it at first (A4518), it took a day for it to grow on me. Now I wouldn't be without it! I enjoy all the different pieces - especially the 3 in 1 Philosophy Shower Gel, Bubble Bath and Shampoo. I had tried Philosophy 3 in 1 Cinnamon Buns and wasn't impressed, but I do love the Amazing Grace. I have gotten so many compliments. Also, I like the Purity that came with the set. I use it in conjunction with my Proactiv.

Recently I picked up item A62129 - Sport Savvy 4 piece Stretch French Terry Wardrober as I have no workout clothes I would wear in public and next semester I have to take a 1 credit, 3 days a week, Gym Class. It runs big I will say. I think I could fit myself and someone else in the pants LOL, but as a whole I am pleased for the value. Being a bigger woman, it's hard to find good work out clothes without paying an arm and a leg.

Back to Philosophy - I picked up the Philosophy a Few Good Men Lip Trio - The Gingerbread Man, Ice Cream Man and Milk Man, item A5445. I am not huge into makeup, but I love these!! They taste great, and give my lips awesome shine and moisture! I have not had a crack or chapped lip since I got these. I keep one in the bathroom, one in my purse and one in my school back pack. Also it was fun to try them on and make my fiancee kiss me to tell me which one he liked best. (If anyone cares, it was the IceCream Man! lol)

I went to the dark side as I bought the Quacker Factory set of 2 Winter Themed Tunic Sweaters, item a59921. This is another one I split up - I kept the Christmas Tree and gave my aunt who is the same size as I, the snowman one. They are lightweight and comfortable! They look young and stylish. Being 25, I don't think I could pull off some of the things that are heavier in Quack. They also run big, but I like it! Cute and easy to wear - I threw this on with a white turtleneck from LLBean and a pair of Bootcut Khaki Cargo Pants and I got many compliments.

Since I have given good reviews to many items, I'll give you one that I was severely disappointed in. I bought item J80793 - Sterling White Topaz Pin/ Pendant to wear on a navy dress to a wedding. I thought it would be more substanial based on the descriptions that were being given by the hosts. I got this home and it was no bigger then a dollar coin. It looked ridiculous! I sent it back really quickly, but I had to scramble to find a pin for the dress.

I think that's enough for now :o)

I'm glad you brought this up ChaChaCha. As a followup to my post above, I went back and got the beautiful red KVZ purse at Macy's the day after I originally went, because there's a 15% off coupon in the paper for Thurs. - Sun. which I used. It's large and has lots of compartments and extras with it (accessories) and it sure beat the retail QVC price with the S&H charge.
