Last year my favorite candle was Mistletoe. Smelled so much like pine. This year, I ordered the candles over the net. Last night I whipped out the candle and gosh it certainly has a very different scent, and one that I am not to happy with. I wish they would leave well enough alone.
On another note, I used to buy the rose candle from Pier 1 Imports (can't remember the name), and I would get the most compliments from that candle. It had the most unbelievable scent. But guess what, they discontinue their scents after they have a run. It is too bad, as it was a home run.

We live three miles from a Yankee Candle outles...and the only cars you see in the lot are from out-of-staters. Most locals don't shop there...and after a brief visit, I think some of it has to do with the prices. They are, in my humble opinion, bery high!

sueshe, I hate when that happens (a favorite formula is changed).

A friend of mine pointed out that Philosophy changed the Gingerbread man shower gel scent this year from last year when we had both purchased it. Truthfully, I didn't really believe her and thought she had probably just forgotten what it smelled like, but sure enough she was right. I went to Sephora and sniffed it myself and it had been changed quite a bit! We both agreed we liked the first formula better. I hate when that happens. It's too bad that you ordered it over the net so you didn't get a chance to smell it first.

My favorite candles are Salt City Candles. A friend turned me on to them. You can only purchase them on line now, she sold them for a couple of years.
I purchased all she had left at a garage sell. Ordering cost more but I think it is so worth it.

Acura- I have those too! They are absolutely the best! They scent your whole house and last forever! I am glad to know they are online. Thanks!

I was a Yankee Candle die hard for many years. I lived in Massachusetts - the home of Yankee Candle (their main store is in So. Deerfield, MA about an hour away from where I used to live). I have gone through so many scents that I have gotten attached to that they have then retired. Earlier this year they retired my favorite scent Storm Watch. I was done. I now tend to buy Old Virginia candles for my home. In my opinion they are the better value when you consider the stopper that you are getting with it. I saw OVC had a set of 3 large candles for 40! That isn't bad when you consider one large Yankee Candle is about 24.00!! The stopper allows the candle to burn longer then the Yankee Candle ones. Also, while speaking of stoppers - if you go in a Yankee Candle Store you can spend almost twenty dollars on just one!!

Bah!! Oh yeah, I cannot confirm what you said about Mistletoe though... I never liked that scent! :o( Sorry!! I wouldn't doubt it though..
