and your eyes land on a package that has your name on it. It is 1 week before Christmas. Do you open it, try it on, decide how surprised you will be xmas morning, decide how fast you wil return it? Or, do you just leave it alone?
Well my husband is smart. He doesn't put my gifts under the tree. One time he put a ring in an ornament and put it on a tree, that was a good one. So, I have to wait until the 25th...

I never, ever peek at presents...it will only ruin the surprise. I'm serious...my husband could leave them on my pillow and I wouldn't shake, rattle, roll or unwrap them before the day they were to be given.

Apparently sueshe snuck in a 13th day of Christmas thread, after promising to do only 12 of them, under the guise of naming it something else.
A rose by any other name....

Here's how Christmas with my DH works: He asks DD1 what I want. DD1 asks me. I tell her. She buys it and delivers it to him. He gives it to DD2 and tells her to wrap it. She wraps it and puts it under the tree. On Christmas morning, he and I are BOTH surprised when I open my gift.

Heartwarming, isn't it?

I haven't done this for a while but I have actually opened my gifts and used them...then wrapped them back up and acted surprised on Christmas morning.
When my brother and I were kids we did that stuff all the time. I remember us opening up our skates and taking them outside to play... then when we were done we wrapped them back up. The parents were clueless.

I don't snoop. I always just end up finding out about things. I'm pretty good about acting surprised. My birthday was Sunday and I could have received an academy award for the performance.

I would never snoop, I like to be surprised. I gave hubby a 2 page list from Ice.com and then he can pick what he buys me, but this way I know it will be something I like, just don't know which ones.
