Good luck, Vivvie...I smoked for 20 years and then went on a vacation to Bermuda with my husband. We were gone for two weeks...and when we arrived home, the very first thing I noticed when I opened the door was the disgusting tmell of stale cigarette smoke. I stopped smoking that very minute, and haven't had a cigarette since! I know that, if you make up your mind, you can do it. I'm pulling for you!

Good for you, Barbi, and Vivvie, GOOD LUCK!!!! One of my pet peeves besides lying & jackass Yankee fans is SMOKING; especially when I see a attractive woman smoking. Earlier this year, I saw this very attractive nurse outside the doctor's office where she was working and she was smoking a cigarette. I told her that since you're in the health field & that she's very beautiful that she shouldn't have that filthy habit!!! She told me it calms her nerves. UGH!!! My 2007 resolution is to hopefully win a boatload of money & to continue to support the NEW YORK METS even though they didn't get Barry Zito (BOO!!!). --- "Is It Midnight?" - Trudy Wells (The Odd Couple)

BARRY! BARRY! BARRY!
Sorry Putbeds, he's all ours!
Today's signing was actually on my fantasy Christmas Wish List! Everyone poo-pooed me, but I had faith he'd want to stay in the area.
All these years of bemoaning the fact he played for those Other Guys on the Other Side of the Bay...
Great pitcher, and a nice little piece of eye candy too. Oh, and he's an exceptionally nice person to boot.
GO GIANTS!!!
Can you tell I'm jazzed?
Two months 'til spring training, I can hardly wait!

You got it Patty--$126 million over 7 years, and worth every penny!
We can both get in shape in 2007, jumping up and down with glee burns a lot of calories!

Just to continue on the Baseball vein...
And the freakin Red Sox got the Japanese guy whose name is unpronounceable and un-spellable (is that a word?). I'm still in Football season though :o) Go Pats!!
Anyways, back to resolutions - I would say exercise, but I'm being forced to in a one credit 3 day a week gym class that I have to take bah!!
So my resolution is to watch the amount and type of television I watch. I have found that since fall began, I have been watching wayyyy too much TV and it's all been crap! (umm Match Game 74?? I wasn't even alive back then!) I think I'm going to watch Oprah or something lol!! And less QVC... lets see how long that one lasts!

And Vivvie--don't say you're going to TRY, say you're going to DO IT.
When I quit and I'd think this is too hard, I'd think of the wise words of columnist Dave Barry, who I credit with getting me through it--quitting is hard, but dying of cancer is harder.
It helped.
I'm pulling for you!!!

Here are resolutions for celebs and other people: Donald Trump-I resolve to stop selling snake oil & trying to break up couples. Mel Gibson- I resolve to give up booze, tobacco and hatemongering. Paris Hilton & Britney Spears- I resolve to read the story on the last days of John Belushi & Kurt Cobain and then clean up your act. To many African-American males- I resolve to give up wearing New York Yankee caps, if you knew the real history of this franchise, you would throw that evil symbol in the garbage PDQ & put on a New York Mets cap which is much better. And the funny thing is that baseball among African-Americans is on the low rung of sports. Yes, there are African-Americans who are baseball fans but most of them wear the Evil Empire cap because some shmuck on MTV told them it's "cool". "Is It Midnight" - Trudy Wells (The Odd Couple)

One of my resolutions is to stop beating myself up over those last 10 pounds. I need to remind myself that Italians aren't supposed to be stick thin, so it's okay! I will lose that last 10 pounds if I keep the spaghetti to a minimum. Yeah, right. LOL
Wishing everyone the best as we embark on 2007. Happy New Year! :)
