Didn't this company win some kind of national diamond retailer of the year award? I guess the have deiced the don't ever want to win that again. They should be embarrassed to sell that junk. And anyone who would buy it should be even more embarrassed.

I saw those items presented. One of the hosts actually had the audacity to suggest that you can have it cut and faceted! Talk about pouring money down a rat hole. I wonder if a host ever has one of those "what in the hell was I thinking" moments?

They were selling these with a straight face?

That might explain the vanishing Karen C.?

LOL Fez. I can't imagine what the on air pitch was like. Painful, I'm sure.
I saw it online and fell off my chair.

Who was it (selling them?). I can't imagine. I haven't been watching much lately ... and quite honestly, I don't miss it. I can go to Wal-mart if I want 10k gold (speaking of junk).

Bee, I have my suspicion of who the culprit was, but I'm not 100% sure. I do know it was not Sharon, Tamara, Angie, Misty, Chris, Jerry or Wendy.

I am speechless.

I will say this.....if it COULD HAVE BEEN faceted.....wouldnt it have BEEN faceted?

But.....if it wasnt selling.....it would have been dropped.

Well, it didn't sell out, so it must not be that fabulous!

I realize it's all about making money, but there comes a point where you insult (the majority of) your viewers. That is the kind of crap product that would make me stop watching at all. The parcels are bad enough ... which, cracks me up. Whenever they sell these parcels, they always say "we only have 150 of these, and then they are gone. Gone? Really? Don't they all come out of the same bottom-less big tub-o-gems?

Gone for that showing(or show) is what they are probably talking about, but yes they do need to be more clear about that.

Bee....dont be insulted.
Just like any sale......there is a gimmick.
You are an informed buyer and this particular didnt suck you in.
There is no need to feel insulted.

As for something being "gone"....it could mean gone for the hour.....gone for the show......gone for the day......gone for the month.....the year.....forever?
It can be many or just one.

Not being a smarty or anything....just curious....
But....what difference does it make if they werent clear???

If you like the piece.....buy the piece.
What difference does it make if it is the last for that show or showing?

Just curious why it matters?

Are you more interested in having "the last one"....or having a piece of jewelry that you would wear and enjoy?

Let me know.

It's called truth in advertising IMO. I guess JTV could do just about anything and it would be fine with you right. What would be the big deal of telling the customer that this is the only item left for this showing. Saying it's "sold out" is misleading. btw...as far as the junk diamond rough earring that JTV is selling you would think that JTV, gimmick or not, would have more class than to put up something up for sale and then the show host proceed to go on about how stunning the piece of trash is. What's next for JTV....chalk Jewelry?

I just asked a question.
No need to make assumptions of me.
I do care.....otherwise I wouldnt be here attempting to be a buffer to you who would rather spout off nothing but negative things about a company I love.

You would be happier if the JTV just placed items up on screen in a still shot, placed carat weight up and a price and proceed to just "see what happens" maybe it will sell itself.....maybe it wont.

As for junk jewelry......one man's junk......is another mans treasure.
I am sure you have heard this a time or two.
JTV offers many items a at a variety of price ranges which allows everyone to possibly find jewelry at their personal taste and at a price that doesnt break their wallet.
Just because you dont like an item or think it is junk doesnt mean that everyhone else should feel the same way.
A lot of it does get sold I imagine or you wouldnt keep seeing it on the air.

Of course not. I understand some salesmanship is involved but I also believe in professionalism on the air and JTV lacks that sometimes, not always. Whatever man I am done going in circles with you.

okay, no sooner did i make the last post, but then i clicked onto the JTV site to find a loose stone for a customer, but here is the first thing I see on the main gemstone page:

Ahh, diamonds. Everyone knows what diamonds are, but most might not know what they once were--chunks of dark, ugly carbon, roasting and rumbling around deep within the earth or even in a volcano's magma. Through eruptions and other harsh works of Mother Nature, eventually the diamonds find their way to the surface for man to find, cut, polish, and enjoy.

Hmm... (was that in their presentation?) they just called them ugly, but yet they are selling those chunks of dark, ugly carbon as beautiful!!!!! You just gotta laugh....
