I'm so sorry that I haven't been around lately.
I've had health problems. You know, your ovaries serve you well but sometimes they can turn on you.
Yeah, it's that.
I go for surgery on the 9th of April.
I love you guys. I watch JTV all the time still.
I think of all of you too, how we'd dish about who was wearing what, who's nails were hideous, who we thought was the hottest; remember when Mandy wore white eyeliner? I think we as a whole got her to stop it! And don't forget the ever famous and cool being mentioned in our hey-day on JTV by Scott and Misty!!! By Name!!! All of us 'ol timers got a shout out.
I can't stay on to find out, but I hope everyone is well and let me just say that WOW! I had the best time on here. Thank you Trev Baby, for giving my idea a place to grow. All I wanted was a place to talk about gemstones and by golly, there it was. Within days. You ARE the man. Now I know you've never heard that before but trust me, you seriously are. You Internet guy you.
I didn't meet anyone face to face but I felt that I knew you all, you know?
My love, my heart and my Faith goes out to each and every one of you... to all the frinds I've made here, and who knows? The Lord works in mysterious ways. Perhaps...

Well I'm 5 days post-op... still no news about what's going on, if you can believe that. My surgeon has been "out sick". Hope it wasn't cuz of me!
My temp soared to 103 the second day, Wednesday, but is down now to about 100.
Sheesh, Jewel, it took an operation to find out your name is Erinn? What a great name! I love it!
Bee, whatever's been goin' on, boring or not, I miss it. You see, to get to the computer it takes a flight of stairs, and it's freezing down here besides. My old ModBod just isn't up to it a lot of the time.
Fran, you great big heart you! I wish we could all meet someday.
You know, I went into the store where Hellfire works and I saw her. She's pretty! And she was really really nice. I didn't tell her who I was because, well, I didn't want her to feel like I was invading her space, her being at work and all, but she has beautiful hair and she was wearing a skirt, in true fashion for her! I must go and introduce myself, perhaps near quitting time so's we can grab a cuppa joe and get to know one another. It's so different, being in person. She is a lovely sweet woman.

Your face can be injured or altered but your heart is who you are, and You all are so very special to me for who you are. Hi Francesca! Jtv is quite a bore lately, no?!? I'm about done with it. I check in from time to time, but can't remember the last time I sat and watched for any good length of time. It's the same old things, over and over.

Seems like JTV really is resting on their laurels. What ever happened to the new graphics and ERV's? Sometimes simple changes like that can spark interest. But they really need to up the ante with what they sell. I know they want to keep this junk jewelry low prices but with jewelry going up everywhere else anyway it might not hurt them if they start offering more high end stuff. Do they even have the red carpet with Frank anymore? The hosts have also become very stail. I hardly ever see Robert on anymore. I guess they like the mundane boring hosts like Wendy at that network. A new network will be starting soon and the talent is being headed by Dan Dennis. "The Jewelry channel. Maybe it will give JTV a run for it's money and make them do some things to change it up finally.

I agree, they really do need to show more high end pieces. I would rather splurge on something great, than buy a SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMal grade 5 carat diamond bracelet. How about when they say tanzanite is so much a carat, but hey they're showing a cluster ring made up of teeny tiny tanzies.

They are all over the place with their tanzanite prices. The good color items, typically go for around $650 a carat. However, sometimes ... it's $350 and other times it's $850. It's very deceiving because they adjust the lighting to make each stone look better (darker) than they really are. The light color cluster crap is not worth the money.

I'm with ya Fez, I've been saying it forever ... buy quality, not quantity. They tempt you by saying "this price is only for today" ... phooey! Besides, there will always be another good deal. I say save up ... and buy quality!

Reminder: They do NOT put good quality diamonds (or other precious stones, NOT semi-precious) in 10k gold. If you want a nice citrine ring, or a cluster of crappy diamonds ... sure buy a 10k gold piece.

Hope you are doing well, Mysty, and yes, wouldn't it be great if we all could meet someday? Actually, my friend and I from work are taking a trip to Knoxville on the weekend of July, 21st to go to the JTV Gemstore. If any of you girls wanna come along, let me know!!! :)

Yes, I did enter the design contest this year, and I am anxiously awaiting the announcement of the finalists. This year I went much simpler with a pendant made of three concentric squares, with three contrasting colors of stones, one for each square, all black rhodiumed to make the colors "pop" with a diamond bail holding them all together. I have high hopes for this one. It fits all the criteria except that maybe it's not the most creative design I'v ever come up with, but I think my treatment of it makes it unique. So pray for me, all, and look for my name and design on the site when they put them up!!!!

I miss you all, but it hard for me to stomach the forum anymore with so much negativity. It is basically 98% bitch-fest anymore. Which is sad, because when this forum first started, it was a really great place with all of you ladies. Why is it that there is always those that have to ruin everything for everyone?

I also got rid of my cable months ago, so I haven't actually watched JTV in ages. I miss it, but I still visit the site frequently. Also, JTV should give me prize or something. Whenever someone comes into the store looking for something we don't carry and I can't order, I send them to JTV. They should give me a commision. lol

All is well! Came through like a trooper, a slow one, but a trooper nevertheless. *whew*
Remember when I said my surgeon was "out sick" all that time ago? Turns out she's had some kind of "crisis" and she has not been in the office since late April. I finally get to see her on the 12th. She wanted to do a hysterectomy on this past June 4th but has been MIA, which is a good thing... It gave me a chance to think. I still WANT my uterus, dumb fibroid and all. I know that sounds weird, out loud, but all the research I've been doing points me in the direction of not having it done unless I HAVE to. She seemed very distracted when I last saw her. Anyway, I feel SO much better now than I did then.

So glad you are doing well, Mysty!

The weekend of our trip is July 20 - 22nd, It is a short trip. It takes 8 hours for us, so we will be leaving at the butt crack of dawn that Friday to get there by noon or so on Friday. Then we will leave around noon or so on Sunday. We will be staying in the Gatlinburg area which is only about 10-15 minutes from the Gem Store, and then we will be hitting other things in the Gatlinburg and Smoky Mountain area. There is tons to see. Haven't booked a hotel yet. If any of you ARE seriously interested, reply on this thread and then I will contact you via PRIVATE message. Having trouble getting into my account right now, so I don't advise PMing me, I may never get it.

My Kiddo wouldn't be able to go... she's tattooing her butt off lately. She's getting more popular than even she can handle, being the only female tat artist in W. Michigan. She has quite a following. I think it's also really cool that while she tattoos you, you can watch the fishies in the Shop's 55 gallon saltwater aquarium! She also has a 55 gal. SW aquarium at home! She takes care of both of them. Now that's a JOB in itself! She still has "Green Death"! Remember him? He's GYNORMOUS! LOL

Hiya! Yeah, the only gal doin' ink in these parts. She had one guy come all the way from Detroit to have her do his tat. Another guy came in once and said "I want Chrissy to do my tattoo". "Where did you hear about her"? In PRISON. Yikes! She was like *gulp*.
Did I ever tell you about the obese, old gay man that came in wanting a tattoo of a woman's lip print on his ass? He couldn't find any he liked in their "flash", so she put lipstick on and kissed a piece of paper, he picked out the one he liked and got it on his ass cheek. She didn't do the tat, the shop owner did it, but it still irks her that there's a big fat gay guy with her lips on his butt!

I missed the new diopside thing... I don't like it all that well to begin with; it's too dark and dull.

You know what I wish they'd show? White Sapphire. I haven't seen that in a dog's life. Though I think if I had to pick, outside of diamonds, 'a course, I'd choose White Zircon over Sapphire because of the brilliance. I just ADORE my Starlight Blue Zircons! You could literally fall into one of them, they're that gorgeous! They're not from JTV tho. Direct Shopping Network... Rex... boy do I ever miss him.
The Zircons are Top Gem World Class, a term you NEVER hear on JTV. Hmmm. Wonder why?

As for me, my female troubles have subsided. I've had a much more disturbing occurrence happen lately though. I don't want to sound weird but has anyone else ever "wiped" after going #2 and it's pure red? This has been 3 days now.
I also have pain in my lower abdomen, mostly the left side.

Guess I know why this thread died... what a downer of a subject! Sorry.

Any thoughts? Words of Wisdom?

If this has happened even once you should go to the doctor as soon as you can...I hate to answer here but I couldn't figure out how to email you "privately" re:the "pure red" problem!

You could have hemmorhoids (I know this sounds embarrassing), maybe taken way too much aspirin, do you have a history of colitis?? If you have pain in the lower abdomen that's a signal something is NOT right!! I AM NOT A DOCTOR, but, I do have a great interest in the medical field and hopefully you will GO TO THE DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY!! (it could be something simple, like the hemmorhoids or something a lot more serious! Take care and do go see your doctor puhleeeese!! I care!!

OK, sorry to keep you in suspenders...
the fact is, I've been sworn to secrecy.
What I CAN say is that Kilo is a great guy, a close friend of Misty Mills, AKA *fake n bake*, who by the way has been looking amazingly gorgeous; not baked and certainly not fake!
So, maybe good 'ol K'lo will reveal himself someday...
Until then, I'll be watching faithfully, enjoying ALL the personalities... planning my next purchase or rather looking able to be FINANCIALLY ABLE to make my next purchase!
