I broke my own cardinal rule and got my little feelings hurt in response to a message directed at me. The part that REALLY hurt was the writer's opinion that I am not now, nor have I ever been, funny. So, yeah. It stung. and guess what? I can choose my own players for my own team. And so can you all. Let's tear this house up and have some fun next time!
Delusional about being humorous,
cathy
Unfortunately, I've found out who to ignore.

Don't feel bad...some people post here just to tear down others and await a reaction. Best thing to do is ignore personal comments--the writer doesn't know you and has no clue. It's fine to disagree with ideas and opinions--we're all entitles to have our own points of view, but personal attacks seem totally out of place to me.
Cheer up--and ignore people who attack the messenger rather than the message!

Eventually it will go away, too many people are tired of being bullied. Post on and be happy!

Yeah. I agree. But I sure had a butt-load of members "claiming" I was funny. Now I just wonder if they were being polite. :)
Obviously, not everyone has a sense of humour.
How sad that is :(
Just keep on ....keeping on....
You make me laugh.
One sour bad apple won't spoil ...the whole bunch of girls (Jackson 5 song ?)

In all my years on bulletin boards, I have never seen as blatant attempt to fish for compliments as this thread is. It is just screaming for people to say "oh, no, Aunt Cathy you are so funny. Please keep posting." That was the point of this thread, now admit it.
How sad is this cry for attention and positive reinforcement? I see a few posters have fallen for it, and I am not surprised at who they are. If, in fact Forensicat, you are some kind of psychological counselor as you claim to be, surely then you recognize that this post of mine is true. You can bless my little heart all you want, but I post the truth. In fact, every time you come here and flood the board with new threads, comment on old and irrelevant ones without even noticing that they are old and irrelevant because you are so out of touch with what is going on here, and try to be oh-so-clever and funny, it's a cry for attention. No psychology degree necessary to perceive that; it's pretty basic and obvious. You have never offended me, Forensicat. I just speak my mind, as do many people on this board, after reading enough posts that disgust me. I'm sure you'll either go away for a while or keep flooding and craving attention; sadly, there doesn't seem to be any happy medium.

Hey Cathy, we've been accused of a lot of things, but "polite" ain't one of them!
You're funny. You're definitely funny!

Now, Curvi, I was raised by dysfunctional hypocrites and they taught me that as long as you follow an insult with "Bless his/her heart", you're totally within the boundaries of etiquette.

I don't think one person posting multiple threads is any worse/better/indifferent than one poster replying to multiple threads.
If no one posted new threads/topics, what's the point of the bb?
AND it doesn't cost anybody anything to start threads. Trevor isn't even around anymore so he sure doesn't care if somebody starts threads why should other posters? Until Trevor says stop (and he never will) I don't see why you can't start as many threads as you want.
