New Phone: apple I - anyone going to bite? $500.+ for basic model. it has gotten good reviews. i heard suggestion that women buying at stores bring bodyguard to avoid mugging. (only in certain areas, i'm sure).
i'll get one in 3-5 years when it will be the only electronic item we'll need. and by then it will be more affordable.

I heard it is very slow and has a few hang ups. My suggestion would be to wait awhile as they improve it. Remember the I-Pod.....I bought one 3 years ago, and within a few months of that purchase they came out with a newer, better version, and mine became outdated. I just got a new video I-pod and it is great. Vast improvements from my first purchase to the second.

Too much technology for this baby boomer! I use my cell phone to make calls, take calls and retrieve messages. I don't even know how to program in frequently called numbers and dial them from the directory! I take a list out of my wallet, look up the number (if I don't know it by heart) and dial! How bad is that?!?!

My son is a craftsman and always tells me "Mom, you need the right tool for the job". So - I talk on my cell phone, take pictures with my camera, use my computer for (computing) and the internet/email, listen to music on my stereo and watch videos on my vcr/dvd/tv. If one thing breaks, I have not lost everything and my world will not come crashing down. Works for me.

I have a generous company discount with another carrier, so I probably would not switch - my current phone is a third-generation RAZR and there are still so many problems with those phones it is not funny.
