As I mentioned in a prior post, most fragrances bother me anymore. I am searching for something light and feminine. Perhaps white flowers or green fragrance????I don't like Philosophy, Tova, Marilyn Miglin, etc......Looking for something "high end" or "old money" people wear at a pauper price...ha....I can usually get samples of most fragrances on ebay to at least try and see first before investing too much............I have worn Channel 5 , Norell, in the past but not much now. Maybe, a scent men and women can both wear? I have tried Clean and Fresh Laundry........I did like the philosophy tea party some. And, I liked a body creme called Stardust Body Creme by Connie Stevens but that was not really a fragrance for long.

I just bought Burberry Summer and it is great. They can't keep it in the stores! Lite but pretty.

Qvsee, can I ask where you got the Clean and Fresh Laundry? Who makes it??

Do you think they smell like Amazing Grace, Pure Grace, ect?

I received a gift of Lovely (Sarah Jessica Parker)

It is VERY light & airy.

<I do like a stronger scent; I don't have the lotion to layer the fragrance>

Oooo, nice choice Sammy!

I got a generous sample of that when it was first launched, and I love it, but I have been distracted by the Philosophy fragrances! Maybe that'll be my next purchase............

I imagine I got it on ebay as a sample. (Clean etc...) I wore the Tova one summer and when I smell it now, it reminds me of Summer but too strong now for me. I smelled one of the Burbury on a nurse once and liked it and when I tried in the stores a sample, did not on me. Maybe there is another one of it I can try. I will look on ebay for any suggestions and see about trying. I thought I had found the one in YSL roses des bois even though it is no longer on market. It does not seem to overwhelm me and is very light and springtime but I have noticed I have been wheezing more and more. I used to like a fragrance QVC sold but can't remember the name. something like angel etui....Anyway I liked it and it had orange blossom in it and I got asthma badly that summer.

Try Dolce and Gabanna light blue. Very pretty light, a bit sweet, not overwhelming.
I'm on my way out to get some more right now!

Linda Lou I can give you the info on Clean Fresh Laundry as I occasionally switch from Happy to that one. I purchased it at Ulta and it was expensive, $76, for a small bottle. Dlish fragrance Inc is the name on the bottom of the bottle plus there is a website WWW.cleanperfume.com where you can also buy it. I think it is a bit different than the Grace perfumes. Hope that helps you.

I use Cashmere Mist by Donna Karan. It smells light and soft, and I get lots of compliments when wearing it. Most fragrances give me a headache or I get a chemical reaction, but not this one.

I know of one you might like Qvsee, but it doesn't fit all of your criteria, namely the price one. I'm thinking of Creed 2000 Fleurs. Until I tried a sample of it I thought it was a very heady, floral scent, but it's not at all. It has violet, magnolia, rose and lilac among other notes, and there's green tea and sandalwood at the bottom. It's very light and feminine. On me it doesn't really smell very floral at all.

I don't know the exact price, but Creed Fragrances are usually around $200. If you like it, it's definitely one to put on your wish list.

I've been reading everyone's suggestions too, I need a new fragrance, and I'm having a hard time finding one. I don't like flowery scents, I like more spicy types, like now I'm wearing Origins Ginger Essence, and I'm almost at the end of the bottle. I like it but I want to find something new. Light for summer but not too flowery. I was in Macy's the other night but didn't find anything that grabbed me..I try them out on ebay too, its usually cheaper, and I've never had a problem yet.

A spicy scent.

I immediately think of Cinnabar. Estee Lauder.

Not sure if it is still around ?

Ever try Prada's original perfume? I love it. That's my favorite.

Try going to the mall and ask for samples at the different cosmetic counters. I can usually get a few from each one. That way you can sample of some that you might not even think of trying otherwise. Don't use the sample bottles that they have on the counter as you can only try one on each hand or wrist before the scents get mixed together. The samples are also good if you are going on vacation and don't want to pack a bottle of perfume. Also after you apply the scent, don't smell it right away as it will be too strong, give it 10 to 15 min and then check it. that gives it a chance to react to your body. If you don't like the scent, wash it off with soap. Also if you are going to check scents, don't use hand or body cream in the places where you will apply the scent. Info I picked up working in a dept store while in college

"Issey" by Issey Miyake is a great light scent that's perfect nice for summer.

"Oceanus" by The Body Shop is another one..

I was in Kohl's last Wednesday for their 1 day sale and tried the original Dolce & Gabana (has a red top). I just fell in love with it. It's light and floral and wonderful

Very helpful and lots of scents I had never heard of. I will try getting more samples. Surely there is one out there I will love.
