is Cheryl Ells, last night show (7/2/07) was fun to watch,I learned and laughed like crazy, she really has a good sense of humor, and I get a feeling of her being so honest.Sad to say,but my least fav. is Tamara and Wendy, I honestly have to push the mute button.Who is your fav. and least and why?

I don't watch like I used to, mostly because I've gotten so sick of most of these hosts ... and everything I've ordered in the past 18 months has gone back for being of extreme poor quality. Angie has become my fave because she is the only one who isn't annoying (voice) and making ridiculous claims.

Goober, oops ... Scott is my least fave, followed by (in order of how I can't stand them) are Wendy and Nikki.

I have love/hate moments with Sharon/Tamara. They can be entertaining, but Sharon's claims of how much "this should be" are just aggrevating and enough to make me change the channel.

I used to really enjoy Cheryl, but I guess I got sick of her and the constant tanzanite talk.

I'd love to see Nicole on her own ... but sadly ... sigh ... yawn ... click ... she is always on with Goober. :-(

Of course Misty comes here and chats with us at times, so she's right up there with Angie for me! She's a total sweetie! :-)

I like Angie the best. She has a pleasant voice, moves quickly, and is not over the top. I also think Angela and Avi present well. I find Scott and Nicole to be a good team -- not sure I care for each independently.

I find Tamara (too hyper) and Wendy (dull!!) unwatchable.

Beekeeper, I know exactly what you mean with the returns.I ordered the gsk097 ring and was so happy when I opened the black box, most beautiful ring I owned, but after doing an extreme inspection of it,there were far too many things wrong with it,so I returned it.I even wrote a review on it, but they didn't post it.I thought about trying it again to see if maybe I'll get a better quality one,but I just don't feel like playing the back and forth game with that type of money. So ladies as I had wrote in my review please inspect your jewelry very careful.

I fuck my mom, I don't go out with BEAUTIFUL ADULT WOMEN, only CIRCUS FREAKS. Plus I probably got a number of diseases like TB, leprosy, crabs, fleas and ticks, violent diarrhea and the doctors would tell me that I only have 24 hours to live. I'm sorry you had bad luck with that ring Jewels4ever. They show that ring often, so I kinda figured it must be pretty good quality ... guess not!

I've mentioned other places ... but I've ordered many expensive rings and loose gemstones ... and they show up with inclusions, windows ... or are poorly cut. Very sad ... cuz I used to have great luck with JTV! IMO, as they get larger, their quality drops.

I would also say that Wendy and Tamara are the worst of all the hosts and are my least favorites as well. Why else do you think that Jewelry Television never pair the two up?Mandy is the best and my favorite host(although I also do think that Cheryl,Angie, and Jennifer are good hosts in their own right).Mandy is one of the very few hosts that brings excitement and enjoyability to Jewelry Television. Her upbeat perky attitude, unlimited amount of energy and her great sense of humor makes her the most intriguing of all the hosts on that network. It's nice for a change to see a beautiful female host that actually knows how to host as oppose of one that pretends she does.

While I do agree that Mandy is perky and knowledgeable, her need to repeat everything she says twice ... drives me nuts.

Cheryl is my favorite; she's very personable. I also like Dawn.

I can't stand Sharon, Tamara, Wendy, or Misty (too nasal and reminds me of an auctioneer). Mandy would be okay if she wasn't so loud.

I can understand watching for what little entertainment value they might offer. After all, who can tolerate regular TV programming any more?

However, I still can't believe anyone would actually BUY the trash pushed on television, but then, that's why home shopping networks cater to the most gullible and corruptible creatures on planet earth .... right girls?

I love to watch jewelry shows on QVC, HSN and ShopNBC. I'm kinda over JTV. When you combine the 3 mentioned before, the selection compared to regular mall type jewelry stores can't be beat.

Used to be Shawn Diddy, unfortunately she apparently didn't click with the other hosts, therefore went the way of shop at home, or at least that's what has been posted here. Same old stale hosts. Frankly right now I don't have any favorite.

Hi Dahlinks!
Mmmm, my favorite host. Well, I would have to say Tommy paired up with Casey. Tommy never (well almost never) plays the "pricing game" which drives me up up the wall. I can't believe how much Casey's improved. Remember when she wouldn't say S*** if she had a mouthful? Now she speaks up and she knows her stuff!
I also like ... sorry Bee, Scott. His accent can get on your nerves and he takes like FOREVER to describe what he's about to show, but still, he's OK in my book.
Robert! The sexiest host on JTV... remember our poll? LOL
Now, who I don't like. Wendy, AKA Eyore. She sounds like she'd rather be standing on line at the DMV than being a host. Yawn and YAAAHHHH! Almost broke my finger trying to change the channel when I heard that monotone coming out of my TV.
I'm sorry to say this because she's SUCH a sweetie pie, but Valarie makes me nuts too. Whatever Cheryl says, she nods. With this "look" on her face that makes you think "does she ever have an original thought in her head"? Or does she just respond to everyone else like she's been programmed or something? Yikes, how mean does THAT sound? Sorry.
Last but not least, I don't care who it is, but anyone who says "while they last" might as well be scratching a huge blackboard with a very bad manicure.
To end on a good note... I still watch JTV just about every night, unless Eyore's on. Why, I wonder, does the woman even do this job? She obviously doesn't like it... at least she sounds like she doesn't.
Misty... Fake 'N Bake... those were the days my friend!

Ewww, reading over my last post, I realized that perhaps I've been too hard on Wendy. I mean, she's just trying to feed her family with her job, right? But still.....
Wendy, if you ever read these posts... there's a thing called "inflection" in your speech; meaning that you sound, oh I don't know, maybe like you're reading out of a book that you're totally bored with, like if I were to read a page out of a Chemistry book. I'd sound... well, like the way you do when you do your jewelry shows.
Do you actually LIKE the job you're doing? Maybe it's time to get that desk job or the "behind the scenes" thing that Patera, God Bless her, did.
Honey, life is too short to spend it doing something that you obviously don't enjoy doing, and with you doing your shows the way you do, that translates to us viewers (buyers) as "Change The Channel" which is something I'm sure you or the JTV uppity ups don't want.
Still, I'm just among a million same... one of many. Beekeeper feels the same way about Scott yet I kind of like him, so I guess it's a hoot. My gut feeling though is that you're unhappy with what you do. You're so UN-EMOTIONAL and *sorry* bland. If you really DO like what you do, couldn't you spice it up a bit? You come across as someone who was forced into it, and can't wait till it's over. I know what that's like, but I wasn't in the public eye.
If I was *yeah right* I'd at least put forth some effort to promote myself favorably.
Just me and my gynormous mouth going off again! I don't mean to offend, really I don't. Constructive Critisism.
I have nothing "constructive" to say because honestly, the second I hear your monotone I switch.
Could you just TRY to make us viewers feel like we're not watching a robot programmed to sell jewelry?
If not, 's OK, my remote works just as good as you do. There's usually some rerun of a once loved sitcom on... Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond, MASH, Little House, etc...did I put too fine of a point on it?
I don't mean to hurt your feelings Wendy. Just telling you how I feel. Dumb? No. Listened to? Probably not. I welcome the opportunity to be able to say what I think and feel though. Hopefully you'll read this. If not, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
We all got to be friends with Misty because of this very thing and this site. We voiced our opinions and she took notice. So did Patera *hi honey*
I guess what I'm trying to say is.. grow a pair and go with your gut.
And please don't be hurt by my words... I'm not a hurtful person. I sometimes tell it how I see it, which, yeah, can hurt if you don't want to hear it, but I'm not nasty about it.
Keep your chin up!
Trish

... all I hear are crickets and the sound of my own horrible bash on poor Wendy...
For what it's worth, (as she speaks to a passing tumbleweed), I respect her with all my heart. She's got her own style, a style that many many people adore. So my ranting "blah blah blah" is just that. Ranting. Perhaps I'M the one with the problem? Even so, like I said to that nearby tree, the only living thing around here besides me, I appreciate a place to "ventilate" and put my humble opinion out there like a giant Matza Ball, hanging there amongst the shreds of what was once a very busy place.
*Echo....echo.....*

Hello?...hello?

Jeez!

no she's not just trying to feed her family

she's a lawyer who practiced for a time in private practice

she has a portfolio of skills

i can't imagine this job pays better

but i can imagine she could be more honest on the air

in addition to the horrid eeyore monotone, she repeatedly lies and misrepresents

i am glad she is not on that much when i am home

the first thing i say out loud every time she opens her mouth is STOP lying

there;s exaggerating and there's lying

the other hosts, i've caught them only in exaggeration

her -- outright lying

either that or she has the worst memory on record

which may be why she isn't practicing law any longer

A Lawyer? Selling Jewelry??
Huh!
Who'd have thunk it?
*OOOhh! Pick Me!*
Winnie the Pooh!

Has the whole world gone crazy?
Because if Wendy is a lawyer, then that must mean that I could be... a Doctor, a Plumber, an Indian Chief...er, rather, a Native American Chief. I could RULE THE WORLD HAHAHAH!
There's just a hint of sarcasm there. As I hang my head in shame over my uncontrolled finger pointing at Wendy's shortcomings, I have to say that I don't even KNOW if she's tried to improve or not, which isn't fair on my part. You can't change the way your voice sounds, you know? The second (nanosecond) I hear her, I'm leaving skid marks.
Crap, I'd HATE to hear this if it were about me and I were a showhost. I have such mixed emotions Wendy-wise. On the one hand, she's a person, with feelings and a life. On the other, she's annoying as hell (sorry) on the air.
Perhaps I should just keep my thoughts in my head and not out through my fingers to the keyboard?

first of all, you would think that she would try to improve. In law school or in most good law schools anyway, they have classes where there;'s a requirement that you argue a case at least once.

it's part of the craft. yes, some lawyers never see a court room, but the process of convincing speech is nonetheless an important part of the curriculum

I would feel bad for the person who she represented in hearings or trials.

scary first she would whine at the judge and then scream at him the way she does to us

I don't see one single reason why a customer shouldn't demand that their sales person be tolerable to listen to.
if it's going to reflect on sales, the corporation should take it into account. Why would you pay a person who sort of knows how to play violin to play in your orchestra. Why should you pay a talk show host who cannot speak in a convincing and honest sounding nondistracting pleasant voice. Especially when the distracting voice takes people's focus away from tthe product being sold. and causes others to hit the remote.

But what woman can say "no" to rubies and diamonds? After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Campbell University's School of Law, and even practicing law in Charlotte, N.C., she made a significant career change and joined the Jewelry Television™ family more than five years ago.
