I'm ready for summer to end, because I can't stand the heat & I hate the month of August mostly. I used to like summer, when I was a kid, of course, but since I was in my mid 20's, I have hated it more so each year. I know QVC, HSN & ShopNBC hate the summer because they probably don't do too much business in those 3 months. It has been over 100 degrees where I'm at, which is hell, with little rain at the moment, but it seems to be cooling down a bit now. It always seems to happen that way all the time, with the media blowing it way out of proportion & with September/October the cooling off begins as usual.

I totally concur with you! I'm all set with this heat and humidity. I know that there are more important problems in this world, but my central air has to be totally replaced (after 24 years) and the company I selected can't do it until Wednesday of this week. We have no shade trees in my yard, so my roof gets direct sunlight ALL DAY. My house is hot and sticky and I'm miserable and cranky. Even with all the windows closed, blinds drawn and two fans blowing like wind tunnels in every room, it's just not the same. Thank you for providing me with the opportunity to vent to others. My husband is tired of listening to me!

I'm ready for fall because it's my favorite season, and that hopefully it will mean the end of these t o rrential storms we in the Midwest have gotten slogged with recently. Ay caramba!

I'm ready for Fall too! When I was younger I loved the summer and the heat and humidity never seemed to bother me. Now I feel like I have no energy and I'm so lazy to go outdoors to do things.
Bring on the cooler temps..............
This is the coolest summer I can remember. Cool as in low temp.
For the last 5 years it was so friggin hot and warm clear until christmas time....
that I really thought our lives on earth had changed for ever.
BUt.. it was cool cool...

I usually hate the month of August, especially the humidity...but this year, August was wonderful. The last two weeks, we slept with overnight temperatures in the 40s, and during the day, the thermometer struggled to hit 70! We had a few days where the AC was called into play--but our electricity bills have been reflecting this change, too! I feel sorry for the people who are enduring drought and scorching heat and floods--but it has been enjoyable in Massachusetts!

I'm ready for Fall. I never thought I'd say that, because I dearly love summer, but this summer has been unusually hot and humid here.
We have a farm and the crops are beginnning to turn. Won't be long until harvest time and I love that time of year.
It just LOOKS like Fall out there. Even the leaves are trickling down one by one...(:

Same here, Dakota. September and October are usually our hottest months.

I'm looking forward to fall. We will not feel a chance around here until October or November.

I'm over the humidity. I do love the warm weather however. Where I live, we only have nice weather for about 4 months of the year. Having said that, last year at Christmas time, it was in the 60's..........very strange, but I'll take it again!!!

It was a strange summer as far as weather is concerned here in the New York City area. It has been a tad bit cooler as far as temps are concerned & we had way TOO MUCH rain but the weekends for the most part have been pretty nice with 1 or 2 exceptions. Btw, Labor Day Weekend is looking great so far unlike last year when we had to deal with that rotten & unneeded Tropical Storm. ==== "Rock & Roll 4ever" - Billy Idol

No, I'm not ready for fall or winter ... our summer 'wasn't a summer' more like a 'bummer' ... it was esp HOT and NO RAIN here in central MN ... i love thunderstorms, did we get any ... NOT in my part of the state. all my flowers dried up too soon ... I am just hoping for a very warm Indian Summer ... that would be wonderful. So far for Sept we have been very warm and humid ... I hope it continues into Oct.
