Dan Dennis has been sighted on yet another shopping channel - The Jewelry Channel or www.tjc.com is now on Dish Network, along with another new channel called Gems TV. It will be interesting to see how long Dan and the new channels last.

We get the Jewelry Channel--and thanks for the tip. I won't be watching any shows there for quite some time. Dan Dennis was another of those hosts who not only thought he knew it all, but thought that the only way he could demonstrate his "expertise" was to shout, shout, shout. I don't listen to anyone who thinks they have the right to come into my home and bellow at me...

We just switched satellite companies, from Dish to Direct TV, and I can't believe how many jewelry channels they have! I've never even heard of half of them, but this could be very dangerous.........lol!

LOL! I've stated before on this BB.........Dan Dennis is no sparkplug, but he just doesn't bother me! Sorry. Can't help it. :D

Dan Dennis has always struck me as a more knowledgable and more pompous version of Bob Bowersox. He may know gemstones but he sure isn't a salesperson! We have had Dish Network for a while now - I am not really sure what the difference between Dish and Direct TV is.

Maybe that's why he's never bothered me, Rebel Mom.

He might be a little dull, but he DOES know his stuff. As far as him being more pompous than Bob B? Hmm. I don't think they get more pompous then Bob. LOL!

I'd say the only difference between Direct TV is that they have a bit more variety in programming, and it is a little more costly.......but, that being said, they have jewelry programs up the ying yang. :D

If my husband ever realized that the only reason I put up with Dish is because of the number of shopping channels we would be back with cable - or even just rabbit ears - so fast it would be unbelievable! lol...

Believe me, it's beyond my husband how I can sit and stare at spinning turn tables of jewelry, but then again, I can't stand all the sports shows he watches, so it balances out! lol :D

With my husband, if it is something he is interested in, he will sit and watch with me. He loves Wolfgang Puck and Judith Ripka - the only two vendors he never complains about my purchases because he says the merchandise is excellent quality and priced well.

If I'm recalling correctly, the only time my husband watched the Q at all, was when they were presenting a Karcher pressure washer that I purchased for him.

Now THAT was a real exciting moment.
