Mandy was pretty calm yesterday, but it looks like she's speeding again, she's shrieking again today, and talking so fast it's anybody's guess what she is trying to say
never mind the repeat 2x say everything
also someone needs to give her a hair cut
she's explaining why they had to do extreme pricing weekend last weekend, when they had the major annual jewelry clearance the previous weekend
because they had to make room in the vault for xmas inventory coming in
what she doesn;t explain is why they have room iin the vault
well the explanation is darn simple
because the people aren't buying at the rate they predicted they would
what they will never admit is that this means their cash flow is bad
this means that they need to sell stuff even at lower in cost to finance the new inventory coming in
it's got nothing to do with storage
if you need storage, you purchase it
if you don't have cash, you well product at extreme pricing
these people just crack me up
do they really lack the ability to understand that people actually have run their own business with inventory that they can't figure out why you would "extreme pricing" anything
or is it that these silly blondes hear that line of nonsense and believe that when their bosses tell them this, it means they really need room, not cash
who sad
only
7
dollars
and 20
NAAAAA
YNNNNN
cents
she's going to hurt herself one day if she doesn't check out the modulation buttons before screaming this way

They always need to "make room in the vault"...this is an old tired line that is constantly being used by JTV. Why should the customers care btw that they need to "make room in the vault". If anything this is a poor sales gimmick...they shouldn't be mentioning overstocked inventory..give the impression that nobody is buying their crap, which is probably true. I wonder with the advent of the new networks like GemsTV and the jewelry channel if they are taking a bit out of the JTV's low quality market.

i agree with everything you have said, and i think it is valuable when people such as yourself confirm these old chestnut sales techniques for the buying public
i kind of have ocd and tend to remember down to the prices of everything i see. i think it is fascinating that so many of the things supposedly on special during these sales haven't budged a single cent. some do don't get me wrong, but there's plenty that are only masquerading as sales.
i can't imagine tht the new gusy will take a bite out of the market. at least in part because jtv has more than 10 years on them
i checked out the gemstv website.
It's just thaigem.
almost everything they had on the website was gold but with white topaz as accent stones.
if you've bought from them in the past, their product was strangely inconsistent, just like jtv. and more expensive to send back. plus subject to customs and duty costs.
what they did have a long time ago was access to markets where the exchange rate favored US customers. those days are long gone. there was a window of time when their gold prices were so low and the exchange rate helped it didn't make sense not to buy their 18k and 22k products.
what i see on their website now is not anywhere near as favorable.
as far as i can tell, their tv show is a televised version of thaigem's gem drop game. where the price would fall til someone scooped the product.
there's no question that the product on the wesbsite is retouched. significantly
I don't know anything about the other company you mention.
I don't think i will get gemstv if it is only on satellite.
but if i do get it, i will watch as much as i watch the rest because this has to be one of the most fascinating vocations i have ever seen.

the jewelry channel is virtually a clone of gemsTV...in fact I wonder if they have co-ownership somehow. TJC...is partially being spearheaded by former HSN host Dennis Dans. Dan's has a very brief stint on JTV. He seemed to like JTV allot on the couple of shows he did back last August and was praising the working relationship and atmosphere then they dropped him like a rock, shortly after. https://www.tjc.tv/ams/Homepage.aspx

I caught one of Dan Dennis' few performances on JTV. He seemed totally out of his element and came across as if he had never been on tv before. Sad. Couldn't understand why so many people adored him.

thanks for the link. i don't recognize anything about it, but they are obviously trying to appeal to an international audience
it's interesting to see how few markets they are in.
i counted 13 stations
