If Rick said that there was going to be a "new" host on, I think that it was just another attempt at his brand of "humor." He's more of a b---buster than funny, IMHO. I just can't warm up to him and I dislike his style when he takes phone calls. I pity the customer on the other end because you just never know if they are going to be the straight person for one of his pathetic jokes.

You hit the nail on the head about Rick's brand of humor! Rick took a call during yesterday's show and asked the lady about her Labor Day weekend plans. The lady responded to Rick's question and chimed in about having company, grilling steaks & etc;. Rick replied with his usual lack of tack, by saying, 'you probally can't wait to SLOBBER the barbecue sauce on those steaks'. Slobber?! Maybe, Rick was hinting to the woman that slobbering was her method of doing things, including eating. I can't wait until he gets his butt chewed out by a caller! LOL!!! Be my luck, I'll miss that call!

LOL! See? It's all in the interpretation. I heard that call, and to me, he was just being silly. What's the harm?

I just find him funny more than anything else, and can never understand why people think he's conceited or full of himself, when he's obviously being self-deprecating, or he's displaying a hit or miss sense of humor. To each his own. :D

I agree LL, i find him silly. I also find Lisa M. quirky and alot of people think she's a B. Self depreciating, yes. But people also say that about the model Kerin (corrine) that she's just poking fun at herself with all the smirks and winks. but I'm not feeling that at all from her.... SHE just comes off as full of herself to me!
