Is anyone else watching Bret Michael's "Rock of Love" series on VH1?

Hi NWGirl -

I grew up in the 80s and had a major crush on Bret Michaels. In fact, I still think he's adorable and still love Poison's music.

I've tried watching some of the show, but it seems full of skanky women. I can't even imagine who he'd pick from that group. They're a lot younger than him, but I guess that's the point.

I also loved Bret Michaels when he was with Poison, but I don't think his look is working at 44 yrs. of age. Neither is his lifestyle.

Sometimes I tune into these shows, but they are so shallow I can't watch for long. There's also the show with Scott Baio, about being 45 and single. Or, if that isn't dumb enough, there's always the Two Coreys.

These guys just need to grow up and realize that they're not the chick magnets they once were, except when there's a camera on them and the roomful of bimbo's, desperately seeking 5 mins. of fame. :D

Yes, I agree! I've always thought Bret has a good voice, but needs to give up the eye liner pencil.

All the girls are 20-somethings, with the exception of Heather, the stripper, who claims to be 32 - but looks 52!

Isn't it funny how we have all outgrown these bands of yesteryear. I'm just hooked on the insanity of "Rock of Love" (ha!)

I remember standing in line for hours with my mom at the Philadelphia Convention Center to get Scott Baio and Eric Estrada's autographs for 10 bucks! Stars don't do that these days...
I must say though, even though Scott Baio sounds like a male-chauvenist pig (spelling?), I can see how he got all those beautiful women, I found him rather charming!!
Can't even comment on the Two Coreys...only watched one episode and all of them (even the "wife") seem like they are acting. Not that these 'reality' shows are real, but they are all over doing it a bit. I heard they even rented that house specifically for the show.

Hi Turtley.

Bret's not bald, he was finally shown without his beloved bandanna on one show I caught a few minutes of. Of course, he hardly has the head of hair he did back in the day.

As for Scott Baio, I never did get his appeal. I just think he's pretty much average looking. He was a little twerp on Happy Days and I stopped watching when he was on.

The Two Coreys are should be called The Two Stupids. OMG, they act like they are still 16. :D

I have caught a few of the rock of love and at first really thought it was horrible. Now, I must confess, I have watched a few episodes. I also assumed he was bald under the bandana- and I am always amazed with all these "dating" shows how ridiculous the girls behave. I know its tv but I still get amazed. I think the girl with the pink hair is really pretty by the way and personality wise at least from what I have seen, she actually seems the most normal.
The 2 coreys is hard to watch and what really kills me on there is the wifey. she is more obnoxious and unreal than the 2 coreys are.
Finally, the scott baio thing-- I never saw what people saw in him in his hey day and now he just really seems pathetic. a middle aged man who never grew up and is emotionally about 15.

He was on Chelsea Lately and she asked him to remove his hat- full head of hair, no bald spot. I agree, in the begininng I was comletely disgusted by the show but now, yikes, i hate to admit i am into it. Jes is the only real one there and she is not ugly or skanky. The swearing from all these 'ladies' is too much though.

The same could be said of Leif Garrett. No matter what show he appears on, there's always a bandana or some kind of cap pulled way down to the top of his eyebrows.

That's right, I forgot about Leif. I can't believe when I was a kid I actually found these men attractive. Leif, Shawn Cassidy, Andy Gibb, Ugh! As a teenager I loved Sabastian Bach of Skid Row-even though I didn't really like the music. He did that VH1 show "Supergroup" and I thought he still looked pretty good to me!

I also liked Shaun & Andy. But, Leif Garrett was my favorite. I even stood in line at a music store waiting to get his autograph! He left before everyone got a chance to get it though. He's pretty scary now! I also loved Scott Baio. Now, I think he's gay even though he married that lady because she had a baby by him. He's on that show called Scott Baio is 45 & Still Single. I guess they have to change the name of the show now.
