I have thought about ordering Temp-tations many times. I missed the show again today, and went online to find them. I didnt order them, because as I read the description, I noticed they were Made in China. With the recent scares in the news about items made in China, I'm wondering if these are safe. These items are for food storage/preparation, and I'm leery about using them for my family. Any thoughts on this?

I hadn't really thought about it before. In the past I always put my trust in the Q's quality control that any unsafe or shoddy goods wouldn't be sent out but now I'm not so sure.

My sister bought a Temptations 5 piece set for a wedding present this past summer. The pieces were gorgeous and I thought a good value - but now, with all we have heard about lead paint on Chinese products I would be afraid to use them.

I'm toying with buying a cookware set since I have the 5-easy-pay thing. I've never heard of the Temptations set. I've thought about Cooks Essentials, but not sure if it's up to par.

Temptations are the decorated ceramic bakeware sets.

I haven't bought any for the same reason.

I have some & have used them. Will continue to use them. The way I see it, something is going to kill you anyway, be it slow lead leaching, E-coli or staph or heaven knows what.

Tooncey - good point. We have probably been exposed to so many toxins over our lifetimes that these dishes won't make much difference. Sooner or later, we all die of something! :-)
