Question: How do you all feel about purchasing our flag, when our flag is manufactured in China?

That definitely wouldn't make me happy. I'd google "us flags made in usa" before I did. Maybe you could find one made here.

Very little of anything is actually manufactured in the USA anymore. It's sad when you go to Indian reservations and even they are selling Made In China moccasins and such. I don't know what we're going to do in this country for jobs in a few years...I guess everyone will be working at Wal-Mart.

I know. I posted a while back that I needed to buy a new toaster.
I wanted to buy a North American product. Every darn toaster that I could find was made in China.
I was willing to pay higher buck$ for a local product. In the end, I gave up.
I was just about ready to buy an Italian design toaster but was not 100% sure it was European made.
Eventually, I caved & was at Costco and bought the made in China version.
What gives ?

I haven't been to Wal-mart in about 3 yrs now and I don't intend to. Sorry if anyone on here works there, but I will not buy anything there because I don't want to support the store. Has anyone watched the documentary making its round on cable tv about Wal-mart and China, it will make you think twice before shopping there. It's not worth the dollar you might save.
Sorry I got off the subject of the US Flag!

That's Wal-Mart: The High Price of Low Cost. Definitely worth seeing.
Black Hills Gold is still made in the USA. It's on QVC right now, which made me think of it. I have some pieces and bought them for that very reason.

Today I went on a foraging trip to J.C.Penney's and guess what!. I found Gold Toe socks, some made in Korea, some made in Mexico and some made in the good old U.S. of A - but none made in China! Will wonders never cease!

I don't know about Korea, but the working conditions in Mexico are as bad as China. Slave wages, wretched conditions and outrageous abuses of women in particular. Thank you, NAFTA.

I'm not sure how something can even be made in Mexico. It seems all of their workers are sneaking across the border to work in the states. Maybe NAFTA will fail for that reason alone. I was just happy that I found something (anything) that did not say "made in China". (Do you all remember when "made in Japan" was a bad thing?)
