View Full Version : Diamonique
I wore a diamonique ring with a heart shape stone on Valentines Day for fun. I looked down at my hand mid-day and the stone was gone!! I was so surprised, this has never happened before. (I never found the stone).
What is your experience ?

that stinks!! i would call the q and tell them what happened. there is no excuse for the "finest simulated diamonds" to be placed in such cheap settings.. i don't wear mine enough to have any problems. that is such a shame, and it must have been so cute for v-day too..

I also had a diamonique ring (J1001) and the stone came out. It's a 5-stone marquie epithany ring which I loved because the stones were small and believeable. I was digging through my filing cabinet and the ring hung up somehow. I did find the stone but called the Q and asked for a replacement (they offered to repair it because my size was not in stock). The stone was becoming cloudy also. The ring was only a few months old but I wore it quite often as a wedding band. Q gave me a credit. Too bad their diamonique is not better quality because some of the rings are attractive but I'd like them to last more than a few months.

I haven't purchased Diamonique in years because mine became cloudy as well.

Sometimes a cloudy Diamonique is really just dirty. The best way to clean jewlery with a clear stone - either real or diamonique -put a teaspoon of liquid dish detergent (Joy, Dawn, whatever) in a teacup with really hot tap water. Let the jewelry soak for about a half an hour. Take the piece out, clean it with a soft toothbrush, rinse and dry with a paper towel. You will be amazed at how good it will look clean.
I have alot of diamonique. Most of it is pretty old, 8 yrs easily. None of it is cloudy. I do clean them with jewelry cleaner. I use the Carribean ?? cleaner that is pink, if anybody remembers it. I also use the diamonique cleaner they sell. It works great.

i have epiphany princess cut dmq earrings. i noticed they were cloudy, but they were just dirty. all i did was use some hand soap and warm water, and they sparkle like new again. maybe once they get old they get cloudy like that. *shrugs* i dunno, i still have an obsession with ephiphany and dmq!! i told my bf that i want the silk fit scattered stone ring.. i just want something telling everyone i'm taken until we are engaged :)
Sugar rae - My daughter purchased that ring. It is really pretty. She got the one that is a wider band, scattered with stones. I have seen a few more styles since then. All pretty.

you know, now i'm nervous about the epiphany band rings.. i read reviews on the q website, and almost everyone says the rings scratch easily. i really don't want to waste my money on a ring that is not durable. i dont care for sterling, as it tarnishes easily, but its funny how i cant locate a scattered dmq ring in sterling, just epiphany or 18k clad.. hrm..

I have Diamonique pieces that are 15 years old and some brand new and they are all just beautiful. Even diamonds will get cloudy unless you clean them every so often. I just use dish soap and hot water about once a week.

Trust me when I say that the problem with my cloudy Diamonique is not because it hasn't been cleaned well...it's the stones themselves. I have some DQ earrings that I've had for years that are still very nice and have not turned cloudy at all...it's obvious to me that there's just a real difference in the quality of some of the DQ itself. Some good...some really bad.

it is such a shame that the quality has gone downhill on a lot of things.. i mean i really WANT to love so much of it, but i just cant sometimes.....
