I am thinking of replacing some of my non stick pans for cast iron enamel coated pans.
I saw one this AM on the "bob" show.
It sold out. I am womdering if anyone has purchased any of this cookware.
If so is it sturdy and do what they claim it does.

Hello Lynette! I have several pieces of the Technique brand and lots of Lodge cast iron pieces, and although I'd never give up my Lodge pieces, the enameled pieces QVC has are very nice. There are some things that only a real cast iron piece will do for, but these are in my opinion well worth the money. I've read on other boards where some say things stuck and burnt, but it was probably due to using too high of a heat temperature, as cast iron doesn't need probably anymore than a low-medium to cook. Clean up is quick, and they don't need seasoning and re-seasoning as regular cast iron, so if you like that idea this is a great line of cookware. They ARE heavy, though, so if anyone has issues with lifting, this is not for you, but thats what cast iron is all about. If you want the real thing, though, go to Wallyworld and drop $10.00 for a Lodge skillet, buy up a mess of nasty fat laden bacon, fry it up and now you have a seasoned skillet ready for lots of perfect chicken, steaks and most anything else. And no, I don't work for Lodge. I just really like their stuff. Hope this helps.
