How does anyone feel about Judith Ripka jewelry? I like some of her pieces, but it seems like every time she comes back, the prices are inching up higher and higher? The TSV today is lab created stones, which is okay, but I would expect to pay about 1/2 the price they are asking. Her necklaces are very expensive.

I agree.

It seems like once a designer becomes popular & has faithful buyers, they sometimes seem to raise their prices little by little. As long as people keep buying the stuff, she probably figures, why not?

But, the prices she charges aren't worth it for lab-created stones.

I love some of her jewelry, but it's so overpriced. I'd rather go to a jewelry store & look around for a better deal.

I love her designs ... but I hated that TSV. Why would I spend good money on a fake stone?!?

There is that one ring ... a rhodolite garnet ... that she wants a ridiculous $500 plus for. THAT one is just supid, but otherwise ... I personally don't think her items are that expensive ... for what you are getting. There is a lot of silver (weight) in most of her pieces and they are finished beautifully (undergalleries, finished on the backs, etc.).

I love Ripka and I have quite a collection, but this was the third consecutive Ripka TSV I did not order. She just does not seem to be producing anything original - or even anything that looks like her previous designs. This ring was just way too big and gaudy and I didn't see anything else I wanted to order. I wonder if she is even still the designer on the QVC line - her new items just aren't up to par.

I bought a bracelet J8122 in the lapis. J Ripka's designs are elaborate, a lot of workmanship goes into the intracate detailing. I am glad that silver is available, I love Judith's jewelry.
