If you have as many problems as I do opening jars (especially vacuum sealed ones), have I got a product for you!! It's called the "One Touch Jar Opener".
Remember these folks make a can opener (which actually cuts the lid), but this one is made with a ratchet that tightens down on the jar and opens the lid. It's battery operated and will work on jars up to 4 inches. I bought mine at Bed Bath and Beyond. Regular price 19.99 - with a 20% off . I love it. I have arthritis and opening jars has become really difficult lately. (Best of all - no shipping charges!!)
