View Full Version : Does anyone here do Sudoku?
If so, do you know what the fewest possible numbers on a regular (solvable) puzzle is? I do 'very hard' puzzles all the time, but they always have at least 12 'starter' numbers...
I say three. Hubby (who has never done one) says one...

I hate numbers.

There's one on USA Today (I do them on there every day) that is only 6 numbers. I would guess that is about as few as you can get? (Six across, six down, six in each box)....maybe four across and down? I don't know.....
The USA Today one is fun, because you can put your possibilities in by "clicking" -- a lot less erasing that way (if you play like I do!)....

Hi Skeeter,
Another really good site is: www.websudoku.com - you can choose different levels and play them on line (timed or not) or print them out...I like printing them out. They also have different types with letters instead of words, etc.

I downloaded the software from there for Gil so he can play anytime... A mistake, LOL... He does enjoy that game... I tried it for a while, but enjoy spider solitaire, more...
If anyone's interested, drop me a PM...

Ha PK...
Sudoku can be addicting. I go in spurts - sometimes I just can't stop - then I wear it out and don't do it for awhile...
I'm in spurt mode right now...lol
What is spider solitaire? Is that like 'clock'?

It's one of Window's built in games like regular solitaire and Free Cell... Look it up, and try the 4 suit one when you get the hang of it...

My husband plays spider solitaire on the computer a lot. It's kind of like regular solitaire but you use 2 decks of cards and the beginning stack layout is different.
Anyone here like to play backgammon online...or halma (chinese checkers?).

I've never played either of those, kitten...
I used to play chess on line, but haven't for a long time...I'm just not that comfortable sitting in front of the monitor for too long, it's not comfortable and it hurts my eyes...I get impatient...

I do Sudoku. A girl at work has always bought those Sudoku books and word search books too (LOL) and we all do them in our spare time.
