I have to say, I think she is a class act all the way. I truly enjoy watching her present items because she never seems phony or trying too hard to sell. She is self-deprecating--but not overly so--and very entertaining. I love when she screws up and starts laughing. It all just comes across as very natural. She's one of the few hosts that I would want to sit down and have lunch with.

I second that emotion! I have watched her since day 1 and always thought she was very down to earth and honest. Her bad jokes and puns are part of her charm.

I think Jayne is a very classy lady.
I really like Jayne Brown. She's classy, pretty, funny and warm. I like the way she relates to the audience and the vendors and her style of selling. She also wears pretty clothes...I love the way she dresses.

They are having a 10th anniversary show for Jayne Sunday morning. I have to wonder about the time slot. The other host anniversary shows that have been on were during the week, usually around dinner time. Maybe Jayne (as much as we love her) is not in favor with the powers that be and since they had to do an anniversary show, gave her a lousy time slot. I don't remember Jayne working much on Sundays.

If Jayne herself didn't choose that time slot, I think it's ridiculous. The other ones I have seen were more in prime time.

I'm not crazy about her she comes across as very arrogant and a know it all, she is not one of my favorites and as for the laugh it seems phoney to me. Just my opinion.

Jayne is great when she does clothing shows. She kind of reminds me of Kathy Levine with all the details she gives out.
She's one of my fave hosts.

Jayne does look wonderful with her new haircut. She is a total class act - I would say one of the best Q hosts working now.

Hello All. Agree with the Kathy Levine - Jayne reference. Jayne and I have something in common. She is tall, intelligent, good looking. I am tall. Ha. Congratulations to a fine Women and many more Years at the Q bringing us complete information.

I caught the full two-hour 10th anniversary show today, and honestly I thought it was some of the most enjoyable QVC programming I have seen in some time.
It was very touching to see Jayne get so choked up at all of the nice things people were saying about her. I agree--she looks great with the new haircut. Her daughters are beautiful, too.
I really paid attention to the way she presents products, and I think she should be the model for all new hosts/trainees. She never gets pushy, and she doesn't repeat the same information endlessly like other hosts. For example, other hosts might say 5 times in an 8-minute presentation that something "is on easy pay for the only day this month..." And I have yet to hear her use that silly QVC logic--"it's only $10 a day" or "it's practically free." Jane Treacy, for example, just mentioned how the Dell TSV is only $10 a day. First of all, it's pointless to say that since no one gets to pay for their purchases that way. Secondly, $10 a day doesn't seem that great when the computer costs $1599 (that's $10 a day for 160 days!)
But I digress--to quote Patti Reilly...Jayne Brown is, in my opinion, one of the best hosts. Too bad she was given the crappy early AM time slot for her 10th anniversary show. If only there weren't 30 Dell hours today she could have had a better time. :)

At the beginning of the anniv. show, Jayne said she'd been wearing wigs for years and decided to appear with her natural hair on air. She said she wears it like that off air and people stop her and think she looks familiar but can't quite place her. So, she didn't get a hair cut. She just discarded the wigs.
I don't like her as a host. She fumbles around trying to find words and also mis-speaks a lot. Worse, she doesn't seem to care and shrugs off all her mistakes, not making any effort to improve. I think she could do much better. She also often seems very ill-prepared with the products.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. IMO Jayne comes across as down to earth, intelligent and genuinely interested in doing her job well. I enjoy that she is not always shooting her mouth off to make herself look important. As for her hairdo, does it matter whether she actually cut it off now or just pulled off the wigs? She looks beautiful and very comfortable in her own skin.

No need to pick a fight, Rebel Mom. I never said it "mattered" whether she cut her hair or wore wigs. I was merely stating a fact so people didn't have the wrong impression.
Sorry you didn't see the show or you might even have posted the very same thing.
Have a marvelous evening.....

I enjoyed her 10th anniversary show but also thought it was on a lousy time - Patti and Lena had Sunday afternoons. And while she was receiving tons of praise - I thought the flowers and phone calls were a little strange I was surprised there weren't more of hosts showing up. But she has a good-looking family and I loved her "new" do - she looked very bohemian. But I guess the people that showed up meant the most to her and stuff was selling out and in QVC eyes that is the most important thing.

Jayne is a good host, but not one of my favorite ones. I don't care for her new short hair style or the blue dress she wore. I only saw part of the show, because it was at a very strange time. What was QVC thinking?

Jayne seems to have a busy life with her tennis and family obligations. Perhaps Jayne requested that time slot, for whatever reasons. I wouldn't blame QVC without knowing for sure it was the company's decision to have the show at that time.

I also thought that was an odd time slot. Maybe she chose it so her family could be there.

I loved the show yesterday with Jane, I watched the full 2hours, and it was one of the best anniversary shows of any host that I have seen. She is very sincere, and genuinely a great person. I think that she is always well prepared for her shows and being a former apparel buyer, she really knows what goes together and looks right and classy. I applaud her for showing her true self, and she has a lovely, and loving family. You can tell that her family adores her..... as they should. She is one class act...

I did see some of the show Hershey but I didn't hear her mention the wigs, only a comment about how this is the first time in years she doesn't have to use chemicals on her hair. That makes me think Leah might wear wigs also - but I can't see Leah going natural like Jayne. I like Jayne because, to use an old fashioned term, she is always a total lady on air - such a nice difference from most of the other hosts.

I saw Jayne last night without the wigs (who knew?!?) and thought she looked great! I don't think every woman could pull that short hair off ... but she sure does!

Say what you want to say about her. At least she does not stare in the monitor at herself!
She seems to be well-liked by the people she works with. I pur her in the "keeper" pile of current show hosts.
Love the hair style, btw. (Inspired by Robin on GMA perhaps?)

I have a friend who is African American and she jokes about needing a second job to keep up with all the maintenance on her hair (which she keeps in a shoulder length full bob and does always look great.) Good for Jayne for making the choice to go natural, I am sure it must be so much easier to keep up - just a regular trim and she is good to go.
