I'm sorry but I don't think NC's products are that great. I bought some of his "volumnizing" shampoo & conditioner a while back and was not impressed with them at all. But I guess what really cracks me up are his demonstrations (hopefully I am not repeating someone else's thoughts) but no matter what product you buy - if you bend over and spray the underneath of your hair of course it is going to look fuller - DUH! but he makes it out to be its his products that give you the volume not the physics!

I agree with you. I have never purchased any of his products just because I don't care for him.

There are a number of volumizing hair products on the market today. I like to buy them at Ulta or Sephora so I can take them back if I don't like them.

Something about Nick gives me the heebie jebbies. His rhinestones on his black coat & black turtleneck shirt was strange.

Don't like Nick or his products. If I'm going to buy hair care from the Q, I'll purchase from Nick Arojo. (from What Not to Wear). Him I like.

I don't need volumizing products so i don/t purchase his products...but i do love watching him, I think he is funny and I love when he goes near the camara to "kiss" a phone caller, he always brings a smile to my face....I did buy a sample pack.. and liked the products, but i prefer to save money

Okay I am the odd "man" out here.

I LOVE Nick Chavez products. I have used them for a few years. Yes, I did wander off a few times and purchased other products. Peter Coppola, Paul Mitchell, Burts Bee, Frederick Fekkai, Jonathan, Ojan but I always come back to Nick. For some reason my hair likes his products.

As for Nick himself, he seems a little swarmy at times but no one on the Q drives me more insane than Susan Graver or JRT. I would prefer to watch Nick over those two any time, any day.

I bought his products once and sent them back. I can't stand to watch him,he speaks half truths. You are right, any product will volumize your hair if you tip your head and spray. Now, his products are a waste of time and money!

He's creepy to me. I wouldn't buy anything from him. Also, when he makes those big hair styles it looks like something from the 80's. Yuck!

I've never tried any of his products but his constant screaming turns me off.

I'm having fun trying lots of the hair products QVC carries through all the gratis DD gets from her job. (No Nick Chavez, though.)

She spent an afternoon with Jonathan Antin recently (and, by the way, she says he's a doll and extremely hot in person; didn't we have a thread about him a while back?). Currently my cup runneth over with his products. We've got tons of Ojon too. I may never have to buy hair stuff again. :)

Hard to take a man seriously when he sports a "Foghat 77" belt buckle, right Pudster?

Nick really comes across as a SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAM pimp. No dobt about it.

As for his hair care products, I tried some of hi s stuff and I really feel that Alberto VO5 works just as well and it's much cheaper. I get VO5 shampoo and conditioner at CVS when they're on sale for 99 cents a bottle--and my hair's in great shape, thank you very much!

You are lucky you can use that stuff. I tried using the inexpensive stuff on my hair and it made it feel like straw. For some reason my hair doesnt understand a bargin when I see it. Wish I could use that but there is something about the detergent in those shampoos that leave my hair less than attractive.

If you're looking for volume, CVS is carrying a new line from England called Charles Worthington.

I bought the flocker, and it was awful. What people don't realize is that his before and after shots are totally fake. Take a close look when he's back on. In the before pictures, the women have straight and straggly hair with nothing done to it. But, when he has the models sitting in the chairs, look at them----they have had some kind of set to their hair, be it from a curling iron or hot rollers, but he doesn't tell you that. I want him to take a girl with wet hair, blow dry it right there in front of the camera and then use that flocker and volumnizer and do the fancy hairstyles. It doesn't work. You have to have already set your hair or used a curling iron to get the look he does.
