Everyone seems okay but it scared a lot of folks. The newer buildings are built on rollers so that helps the overall affect of things rockin'.

Thank G-d I wasn't there. I haven't felt a strong earthquake since 1989 earthquake in the Bay Area.

Rollers so the buildings rock a little with the earth moving and shaking thereby preventing a crack in the building, etc.

we felt the trimmers...which was nothing...i thought my fat cat was under the bed and had a bad dream and jumped and hit the bed (she does this once in a great blue moon...have no idea what her dreams could even consist of)....but she wasnt there...i asked my daughter "did you feel something?" she said "I thought murphy was climbing on my bed but he wasnt there"....


it was pretty settle....

Hubby works with a lot of people down in the LA area - it will be interesting to hear what they had to say about it.

Earthquakes are a trip. We had a 4.0 about a year and a half ago or so...it felt like being on a boat...rocking, rocking, rocking to and fro with everything swaying along...wild...

This was nothing like the Riverside quake - now that was a trip!

I'm glad everything is OK.

I wonder if there is a site anywhere with a pic of the rollers. I understand how they work but not exactly what they would look like or placement or how many.

I'd like to see them....I understand the concept, but not appearance.....if that makes any sense....

I can picture the buildings on gigantic roller skates, but that's about it....lol
