I can't believe she has become such a celebrity...I have watched The Hills a few times and saw her on The OC show she started on....find her incredibly dull...somewhat rude at times and even mean. What's the attraction?

Is Lauren Conrad over The Hills?

In the new issue of Star — on sale Wednesday — we report that the good-girl star of the MTV reality series seems happy on the surface, but sources say the smiles mask her sadness over a series of serious disappointments.

Lauren recently broke down in tears at her Hollywood Hills home, wallowing in the misery that she feels her life has become.

"She's an emotional train wreck," a source close to LC tells Star. "She usually doesn't lose it like that. But her life has spiraled out of control, and once she opened the floodgates, it was all over. She just crumpled, putting her head in her hands and sobbing."

It seems she has a lot to cry about. She's being slammed in reports for throwing a diva fit at a charity event, her clothing line has been dropped by Kitson, she's feuding with her pals and her love life is practically nonexistent!

I don't get any of them Scoops. Unless you are 18 and watching MTV regularly ... who are these people and why should I care about them?!? lol ...

Although, I do like that commercial (some cel phone I think) where she and her cutie pie boyfriend are sitting at the outdoor cafe. She is chatting away, while he is checking out girls as they walk by (using his phone cuz it's like a mirror).

He is so cute! He's Bruce Jenners kid, right?!? Adorable! :-)

I never liked Lauren conrad or L.C. as her friends call her. I batted for team Kristien during the O.C. days.

Personally what I really can't understand is how hedie and spencer have become hollywoods favorite couple. Why are those two losers famous ?

Hills Creator: I'd Love to Film Until Lauren Conrad Gets Married!

Could Lauren Conrad be getting hitched on camera?

If The Hills producers have their way, she will!

"I'd love to stay with [the show] until Lauren gets married," creator Adam DiVello says in the new Entertainment Weekly.

But Conrad, 22, is thinking of life off camera.

"Every season, I think it's the last," she says. "Right now, I think this is the last season.

"I go through phases when I’ve been filming where I wake up in the middle of the night and I think I’m being filmed," she says. "That’s when I have to take a vacation."

Plus, Conrad says her dad is pressuring her to plan for the future.

"He's like, 'Let's talk about your five-year-plan,'" Conrad says. ''I go, 'Let's talk about my five-day plan. I don't even know that.'"


For now, Conrad is relishing the perks of being on MTV's highest rated show. Forbes estimated she earned $1.5 million last year, and she's hard at work on her clothing line — a partnership with the network.

Conrad also talks to EW about accusations that the show is not exactly reality.

"'I get that there are certain scenes where someone's like, 'Sooo, last night was weird....'" she says. "And then there are people on the show who really don't help, because they are very fake. We know who we're talking about —like, you need to stop rehearsing your breakfast.''

Could she be dishing about foes Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt? Conrad won't confess, although the pair did tell EW they fake fights for the camera.

DiVello admits he can't control that.

"We work with what they're giving us," he says. "I don't think any of these kids are making up stuff, but I don't know."

I also don't get it, all my magazines have Lauren, Heidi and Spencer- what have they done? I don't get all the hype....

Bee- I like that commercial too
