anyone notice that when Lisa and the model Monica get together on tv, Lisa's alter ego comes out as a sassy black woman? She got so carried away lastnight I thought she was going to start snappin' her fingers!

I haven't seen that but now will ABSOLUTELY be looking for it. Thanks for the chuckle.

I get annoyed when Lisa has side conversations with the models. I have to stop myself from screaming at the set--Hey!!!! We're over here, not there on the sidelines. But then again, she's just being her showy self and wanting all of America to watch her as if she's on stage. To watcher her giggle and crack jokes--it's just enough already.

Years ago I was in Philadelphia at the flower show and Monica was modeling in a bridal show. She was pretty sassy and funky and a bit of a celebrity herself. It was so different seeing her almost acting like Iris! I really thought she was cute!
She has improved mightily since then an the Q. As for Lisa I know she has always made reference that she and Monica are friends outside of work but I just don't get her (Lisa). No doubt she wants to be a sister with all that orange skin! As I say I just don't get what is so great about Lisa. She is no great beauty, just average to me . That Bennett girl is truly a natural beauty. Is she still with QVC? LR is just so full of herself and phony I just don't watch her. Yeah there are 'Ladies who lunch", "high end" shoppers but do they really shop QVC? I prefer Leah and Jane, not only are they real sisters but they are entertaining!

I did happen to catch that Lisa sista moment, and I laughed out loud. I swear I stood there in front of the TV and snapped MY fingers while saying, "No, she diddnnnnnn't!" I wonder what Monica thought of that.

Lisa is good at her job, but I don't think she is in touch with the audience. And she constantly turns to the models for reassurance. "This tunic looks so high-end, and for a dollar a day, it's practically free, right?" And then the models are forced to nod their heads in agreement.

Way back when QVC was selling more men's clothing than they do today, there were quite a few male models. Dan Wheeler often engaged them in conversation and their banter was so interesting that I wished the models were miked. I recall one guy telling Dan that the secret to being a good model is to walk around with the attitude that you're sniffing a rotten egg. It was funny!

I bet if lisa washed off all the paint, put her hair up in a little pony..and had on a small white t, yoga pants and FLIP FLOPS she'd be cute as hell. Sometimes if you are so self centered, you stick with what worked and can't break out of it (even if what worked was in 1987).

aaaaaaaaaand, Lisa and --Stacy-- are friends outside of work. I think Monica is a lot younger than Lisa

I think Lisa needs the models for security, otherwise, she feels lonely up there and somewhat (I said somewhat) out of place. She's so insecure.

It cracks me up when OPRAH does it - talks like a sista! I don't know if she does it because that is really how she talks or if she just wants to show everyone how she can get down! I do remember George Carlin on one of his comedy albums saying put 5 white guys and 5 black guys in a room together for a week and the white guys will come out talking like the black guys! not visa versa! go figure
