She actually looked good in the black dress. It wasn't out of the 50's - thank god. The hair is still too short and much, much too dark, but the clothes were a definite improvement over what we've seen lately. (I still have to watch her with the sound muted.)

I applaud you for being able to watch her! lol ... It's too hard for me. I can barely get thru a gem fest show with her, and I'm a total jewelry addict. I can't stand to watch a show with her otherwise ...

Actually, Bee, I didn't watch. I surfed into her, muted the sound, decided she looked better than usual (not a difficult thing to accomplish, considering) and left.

If she was on QVC more then she is, I WOULD never watch. She is awful...after 5 mins. of her babbling I had to turn it off. She makes me sooo nervous I want to choke her. Why can't the powers to be @ that network talk to her. But then there is Susan-Diarrhea of the mouth-Graver who is totally abnoxious & rude. They got rid of that rude Dutch Designer, why can't they get rid of Miss Susan??????

I agree that she actually looked better last night than she has recently. Her hair wasn't quite as flat and dark as I have seen it, and her dress was not bad.

I think that she generally does a good job (i.e., good knowledge of the products) but she is too hyper about everything. I realize that these hosts have to make every product seem thrilling, but I think there is a way to do that without seeming so over-the-top.

One pet peeve I have about her is when she takes phone calls. Instead of just saying, "Hi Debbie, how are you?", she has to say, "Hi Debbie, welcome in to the 3rd anniversary of Enjoyable Entertaining on QVC and our one time only value with 4 easy payments and two new colors and free shipping and handling, how are you?" Has anyone else noticed how she goes ON AND ON before she lets the callers speak? Drives me nuts.

And she made at least 2 references to her daughter during the 1-hour Diamonique show on Sunday. Can she go one show and not mention her kids?

Would someone please put Jane out of our misery?

She is probably trying to earn Brownie Points by mentioning every deal when she answers the phone. On top of everything else, she is probably a huge suck up and butt kisser. How else can you explain her grip on prime time hosting?

I don't think Susan is "rude" per say.. my take is that she just isn't that bright. AND she has like, ADD.. reminds me of a kid where you have to be like "look at me.. look at me" before you talk just to get their attention.

Jane's over-hyped sales pitches bother me less than Susan's rudeness. To me Susan is just a typical pushy New Yawker - my apologies to the nice NYC folks we have on the board - who always has to be front and center and wears her sense of entitlement like a badge of honor.

JRT is just very difficult to watch. Her voice, her mannerisms, her way of selling, her look, everything is just so difficult for me to endure.

Patti is another one that is really getting to me.
Yesterday AM during the sterling designer show Patti wore a top that was cut so low you could see she didn't have on a bra and she constantly adjusted it and fiddled with it. That was distracting or....did she want us to notice her tiny little boobies! I admire her weight loss, but along with it her voice became shrillerand shriekier, she became much yakkier and silly and obnoxious.

Okay, so I just turned on the TV and Jane looks like the Welcome Wagon lady who came to my house in '87.

Do you all think maybe she's channeling her mother?

Management needs to let her know that when you have a jewelry show, your nails have to look nice. Her fakes have grown out to the point where she badly needs a fill. Instead of looking at the jewelry, I was looking at her nasty acrylics.

Hi Pebbles! I made virtually the same comment about her nails a couple weeks ago (can't remember if it was the gold day or Judith Ripka show). I always find the acrylics distracting ... whether they be Janes gross grown out nails or Lisa's chiclets. I much prefer Lisa Mason's nails ... natural, clean, always polished, not too long, and not distracting!

The problem with Jane is that I love all the shows she hosts--mostly jewelry, gem shows, this afternoon's charms show. I can't seem to get away from her because I am drawn to those darn jewelry shows. When I am done watching her I feel hyper and my blood pressure has definitely gone up more than a few points. I feel as though I've had too much caffeine and super jittery.

Sorry that's happening Shauna! Grrrr! I'm like you ... love the jewelry shows, gem fest, etc ... and it's always her! During Judigh Ripkas last visit, I was all excited to sit down and watch ... and when I saw it was Jane hosting ... it pissed me off! lol ... I actually yelled at the tv ... awww come on! Jane? Really?!? lol ...

My question is: Why does this insidious creature host all the irish shows? She's not Irish. Her husband is!

Oh what fun!! Tonight we have Jane (Motormouth) Treacy competing with Susan (I can talk over anybody) Graver. Wish I were able to watch - but they wear me out. - Also I can't stand either one of them!

Great minds think alike, Bee. Lol.
Even short nails look better than neglected ratty looking, grown out acrylics. Have some professional pride in your grooming. Heaven knows, they pay her enough for nail care and may even provide it free to the hosts.
Her phony enthusiam drives me up the wall. Frankly, I can't think of a single thing I like about her. Intolerable!

Oh I am so glad I missed this train wreck. That would have just added to the already stressful day I have had in "SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAM world."

Just when JRT's hair was starting to grow out a little and look somewhat softer (still too dark), she gets it cut an inch long again!!! This is not a good look for her - my guess is that she wore her hair like this when she was very young (like 2?) and she thinks this makes her look more youthful??? Doesn't anyone ever say anything to these hosts???

Jacinta

I question why this woman is still on the air. There isn't a person here who seems to like her. If we're any indication of the typical QVC audience, then she's the most unpopular host on the Q.

Honest to goodness, her hair looks like it is painted on. What is she thinking?

And here she is again. The dress is a beautiful color and amazingly unflattering. I think it's the sleeves. Also - it's too tight. I have come to the conclusion that our little elf must dress herself. They just can't be paying someone to do that bad a job. (or can they?)

If they have stylist at QVC then I 'm sending my portfolio! The host dress like they never look in a mirror. Granted they may not wear too many outfits that they own. Wearing QVC fashions can look "not so nice " on most people. I believe that their fashions are fine for the everyday person. On the other hand if the host are supposed to represent current fashion trends , allI can say is "Oh MY!" They seem to sow up two days behind and two dollars short on most fashion trends. I say keep the host behind a table and only shoot from the shoulders up if they are going to look so hideous. They have models to show the fashions. They Qvc has no FUNK or SPUNK! They need to get someone in to shake things up. They Welsh girl was on yesterday or today and it was painful to try and watch her! Shawn Killinger is another train wreck. Is she getting out once she's married?

Funny about Jane and her hair-don't.

I was babysitting my niece, and watching her on Q the other day. My younger Brother walked in the room and said "She'd probably be decent looking if she didn't have such stupid hair."

LOL

I'm thinking he's either inherited his sister's bad eyesight, or his taste is in his mouth.

I saw her on the other night--can't remember what show she was hosting. But I DO remember her outfit. She was trying hard to rock some QVC fashion, but it just wasn't working. She had on a gray knit top that she belted and a gored skirt. I know that she's petite, but that outfit made her look 50 pounds overweight. Did anyone else see it? I actually felt bad for her.

Yes, I saw it, QVCWAtcher.

I never really noticed Jane much, never went out of my way to watch her shows, you know?

Since being here, I can see why she's so disliked. She's totally annoying, and clueless as how to put herself together and find a look that works for her.

I caught Jane on with the Honora Pearls guy last night and all I could think was that she died her hair with black shoe polish! The style is a little fluffier so it doesn't look as much like a Kewpie doll hairdo anymore, but the color is atrocious and as far as you could get from flattering.

Have you all noticed how ugly her hands are? I remember Kathy Levine's hands. When she modeled jewelry she really showed it off. So does Leah. Janie - well, she always looks to me as if she's been working in the farm fields. Part of the problem is the shape of her nails - her fingers are short and stubby and the squared off nails just accentuate that. The other part is that her hands are freckled - or maybe they're aged-spotted. Whatever. They are just fugly.

Is the product Esoterica still available? (Hee Hee) JRT should invest in a case ... her hands ARE really really bad ... SPOTTY SPOTTY SPOTTY. Ewwww.
