I've had them arrive very very late - but this one seems to have fallen into a black hole. It was an Italian coin charm (gold) and was the last of 4 on auto-delivery. It was (supposedly) shipped on July 14. I finally called and told them to credit my Qcard. My guess is it was mis-delivered and some other lady is wearing it on her charm bracelet.

I've had an order take 18 days to arrive. I called to inquire about the delay and they sent another diamond bracelet out immediately, however, the original bracelet arrived the following day. I called to let them know if finally arrived and they cancelled that second order. In the end, I returned the bracelet--too flimsy. I think it is too soon to say that it's lost or someone else has it. I bet it will arrive.

I had two packages supposedly delivered (according to UPS) on my porch last Thursday. I have seen neither package. It seems as though the bad economy around here is leading to a new type of crime wave - one of opportunity, people walk by, see the package and take it. These were the second and third packages we "lost" in the past month - all I can say is that if there are thieves, they must be pretty disappointed in their pickings. Package #1 was a turntable motor for my microwave and #'s 2 and 3 were D&C t-shirts and Ryka shoes!
The only bright spot - QVC online customer service credited my account immediately and just asked me to return the packages if they ever show up.

Sounds as if UPS will have to change it's policy and require signatures on all packages - those delivered to homes as well as those delivered to apartments.
I guess today's bad economy is really presenting problems to those who are already ethically-challenged. (See it, take it, hock it, spend the money)

New type of crime wave? Nah, it just hadn't happened to you til now. Last December, my son and his friend ordered protein and other supplements online--$500 worth. UPS shows the package was delivered to my front door at 12:15 p.m., just a half hour later I arrived home and no package. We now have packages delivered to my work.

After living at this address for 24 years and never having anything like this happen it was a big shock. You are right Shauna, it has happened before, but I think you are going to be hearing about a lot more of these opportunistic crimes, where some low life is in the right place at the wrong time.
I had one more small Q order that had been shipped and it did come today, but it was sent via the post office and my mailman put the package into the mailbox, so we did get it.

I have an uncommon ethnic last name. There's a woman on the other part of town who has a similar name and who lives on a street with a similar name to my street. She is constantly getting my mail and packages and I get hers. Can't delivery men READ?

Unfortunately they don't hire or pay people to think these days.

We had a substitute mailman for about 3 months last summer and if I wasn't getting my mail at all (which happened more than I care to think about) I was getting my neighbors mail and he was getting mine.
I finally got so tired of it I had all our mail forwarded to the PO Box that my husband uses for his business. Haven't had a missing piece of mail since.

I thought it was just me having these problems that I've never had before. My order of two items came via UPS, the yellow delivery bag had been previously opened and one item was missing.
Another package I received the scotch tape had been cut right down the middle of the box then the sides were resealed, luckily the womans pants were still there.
I have no way of knowing if the problem is UPS or QVC, but I am now hesitant of buying delivered items.

Don't get me started on substitute letter carriers! Whenever we have a sub, I get mail for people 'way down the other end of the street. It seems that the substitute carrier gets the numbers mixed up. He can't tell the difference between 25 and 52. Okay, maybe he has dislexia. I can forgive him for that, but what about the difference in the last names?

I'd be filing official complaints with both the post office and UPS. My gold charm still has not shown up. I figure it's either in the bottom of a mailbag in Timbuktu or on someone else's bracelet. Very strange. I ordered another piece of jewelry and it arrived just a few days after I placed the order. Unfortunately, I had to send it back because it just wasn't what I wanted. Apparently pilfering pervades!

QVC needs to use less obvious packaging. Thieves know that there could be something good in those packages. It hasn't happened to me, but I know of someone who got a package with a slit in it and the contents were removed.

I haven't had this particular problem, but I did order a 14 kt gold omega as a graduation gift a few years ago, and when I opened the blue jewelry box to see it, there was nothing in there. So I guess someone on the inside there, stole it right out of the box even before it had shipped.

& what is the Q's response and / or action to this.
Packages arrive and missing contents.
Couldn't this become a scam ?
Buyers/customers complaining or reporting falsehoods and it becomes a s/he said she said thing.
Does the Q always reimburse and take the side of the consumer ?
Curious.

I think that would depend on how often a given customer reports a missing or damaged item. If there's a pattern the Q probably will not reimburse. However for the occasional problem, if there's no reimbursement they will lose a customer. For me the "non delivery" has happened 2 times and I've been a customer for over 20 years. And, strangely enough, they both occurred this year.

Yeah, that makes total sense. I know the retail stores have caught on quickly. If you return items, some stores do track this and files coded accordingly in their system.
Costco does this. I often return items and they scan my customer profile.
I can see how some could abuse this policy.

My SIL had this problem. A kid from down the street was stealing nearly every package from QVC (and Amazon, Sephora, etc)--not all, but most, and she would get packages that had already been opened, always the cheaper items--he kept the jewelry, electronics. QVC reimbursed her for a while, but then they had to close her account and wouldn't let her order again, even with a police report. She opened another account and had items shipped to her work, but they linked her to her previous account through her credit card info and cancelled that account, too. Now if there's a good deal that she just can't pass up, or a piece of jewelry not available elsewhere, she gets me to order it for her.

I figure my charm was simply mis-delivered. My building has locked mailboxes so theft is not an issue - unless it occurs at the post office level. The charm was shipped on 7/14 and has never arrived, credit has been issued. Case closed. (Until next time, I guess.)
