Have any of you answered a major poll lately?

Last night I answered a Rasmussen poll, but it was all digital response...hmmm...

Wonder if they got sick of me yabbering at the pollster? LOL

I've never been called.

I do enjoy the polling website you gave me, though:

I used to get called all the time, so I was kind of excited to get this one (it was long - a little over five minutes)...

It really covered the whole gambit - everything from who I was going to vote for (and whether it was possible I would change my vote), to approval ratings of Bush, my Governor, Biden and Palin...

Anyway, fun, cause I've been bitching about never getting called! Lol

I don't answer any calls that come up as "Unknown" or "Toll Free." It makes life easier if I don't have to deal with any telemarketers.

Does your 'nation wide registered do not call list' allow pollsters to penetrate ?

I have no idea Sam. I have not ever registered for the Do Not Call list, I just screen using Caller ID.

In Canada, our national do not call last just came into effect. I registered on line but the system/site crashed. Hoards of people by lunch time brought it down.
I then registered by telephone. I had to listen to a bunch of garble/garble.
I do recall them stating that polls would have allow access and other types of exemptions.

In a way, I am going to miss having telephone fun with some of those telemarketers !

LOL LOL !

Yeah, so I still have a chance at getting in some good one liners or scenarios to those folk.

I am sure at the end of some of those calls, THEY actually PUT ME on THEIR do not call list AGAIN !

Or I become one of those water cooler conversations with their fellow telemarketer colleagues that they had a really bizarro weirdo lady earlier...

One that comes to mind is a guy who phoned and he asked to speak to the adult of the house (he may have even asked specifically for me by name) & that he was representative of a financial planning investment company.

I did not feel like talking and I said I am the babysitter.

Hey got all defensive saying that was not true.

He stated that he felt I was not a babysitter.

He thought I was fibbing (of course I was)

I stuck to my story and told him yes I would be willing to take his info(name/number) for the homeowners. He was getting testy. I kept insisting to take the info.
He then gave it to me. Then I preceeded to tell him that I now was going to report him to his company for his behaviour.

Boy was he pissed off. I was not actuallly going to do that.

Just having some stupid fun with him. Needless to say, he never has called back.

I now wonder if he got my name from someone that knows me as a cold/lead sales call and actually knew my personal profile and that I don't have kids.

Ok sue me.

lol

I've registered on ours a bunch of times and I still get calls from telemarketers. I do what Laney does if I don't know the number or name......I don't answer. Sometimes, I don't answer even if I know who's calling. LOL
