I have already voted. There was no "Prop 2" on my ballot. What state is that for?

Jules

It looked like California, from that website.

That's the state where they did an undercover investigation and that sad sad video came out.

I haven't eaten veal for years...I saw a video of the process a long time ago and it stuck with me. Just the thought of eating veal after seeing the abuse and conditions needed to get it turns my stomach.

I admit, I'm not vegan, and hope that what i am eating is acquired under humane conditions.... some things like veal just aren't necessary.

Wipe away the clouds & cheer up as grey skies are gonna clear up.

Pal thought that was funny, lol.

I have never eaten veal and I really don't have any desire too. It IS inhumane and so so sad. I just want to rescue all those little calves and bring them to my place. Then they'd grow up and start to look delicious and I'd have to eat them.......lol.

I really do hate that I continue to eat meat, even though I only eat a very little bit. I can't watch the videos of those things because they break my heart.

I buy my meat from a farmer up the road. He loves his animals and he takes great care of them. He brushes his pigs everyday and they are immaculate and only eat the best of food. In fact, everyday they get a treat of cheese curd that the farmer gets from the local amish. His cows roam the pristine meadows and they are clean and happy.

I somehow feel better knowing they were happy and well taken care of.

I'd still like to quit eating meat all together though.........

Pal, you're so much like me about things like that. I would love to stop eating meat too. I don't eat it like I use to, but still do somewhat.

I think we were taught as a child that meat is one of the basic foods we should eat for protein and all, but I just can't stand for an animal to suffer.

I've not eaten Veal either.

I don't know...it's just a dilemma.

Years and years ago, I loved veal. I haven't had it for 25+ years now.

Poor calves.

I'd like to give up meat again, too. We really don't need it.

I like a nice juicy steak too much to give it up entirely.

Agreed Jules, I don't have steak often, but I do love it. I usually have chicken or seafood, tonight I will be having barbecue rotissierie chicken. I love gyros and used to eat them alot- Tarpon Springs( Great place to visit, especially the Tarpon Springs sponge docks) for those of you familiar with that area makes the best gyros but I have not had one in years.

It is a dilemma Cindyloo. I once went by a truck that had grates on the sides that went WAY up and it was FULL of pigs going to be slaughtered. They were piled right on top of each other and they were crushed on the bottom. The poor little things were screaming and fighting to try and get to the top of the pile. It was a horrific thing to witness and it disturbed me more than I can say.

Ugh! It breaks my heart to think about it.........
