Strange bedfellows, to say the least. So Emanuel didn't open his mouth, didn't say a word and when he did, everything was just fine?! Meanwhile, people lost millions. Got the following blurb from ABC News online:

<<<<President-elect Barack Obama's newly appointed chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, served on the board of directors of the federal SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAM firm Freddie Mac at a time when scandal was brewing at the troubled agency and the board failed to spot "red flags," according to government reports reviewed by ABCNews.com.

According to a complaint later filed by the Securities and Exchange Commission, Freddie Mac, known formally as the Federal Home Loan SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAM Corporation, misreported profits by billions of dollars in order to deceive investors between the years 2000 and 2002.

Emanuel was not named in the SEC complaint but the entire board was later accused by the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO) of having "failed in its duty to follow up on matters brought to its attention.">>>>

That's just great, and now this is BO's right-hand man?

Sorry, hate to sound 'unfriendly' but this looks like poor judgment on BO's part to me.

BO BO BO! I always thought BO stood for body odor. And where was ABC before? In the back yard drinking Barry Kool-Aid?

"This is an ironic choice for a president-elect who has promised to change Washington, make politics more civil and govern form the centre."

- Republican John Boehner

First promise broken, Republicans claim.

Hiring of hard nose goes against Obama's bipartisan pledge: GOP leaders

Actually, I think that it was a good choice.

Obama is going to need someone who has a hard-nosed reputation to keep the extreme left-wing Democrats at bay. They are going to try to get as many of their radical programs going as they can, and I believe that Obama knows that he needs to take a more centrist perspective to have the success he is hoping for.

He will make good choices.............he has been considering this for a long time.
