Got my answer just now:

<<<Thank you for taking the time to contact us.

Jamie Lee Curtis is a spokesperson for Activia yogurt, however, she is free to share her political views, which are unrelated to our company or brand.

Again, we thank you for sharing your thoughts.>>>>>

I really am glad that they responded in this way because it reminds me that we do live in the BEST country in the world! Freedom to say what you want and freedom to spend your money the way you choose.

I will be emailing them back telling them just that, lol.

No more of my $$ for Dannon :)

Oh brother....forgot to get my letter out. OK...doing it after I post. lol

But...........listen to this. I'm in the dairy aisle this afternoon, and I see a lady with a little 4-pack or 6-pack of Activia, ready to place in her cart. I was feeling a bit feisty, but a 'nice' feisty. Anyhoo (Hi Scoops!) I proceed to engage in a little conversation about Jamie Lee and her crazy talk. (lol) We joked back and forth and she put the Activia back.... she said she'll forego the yogurt. I think she may try to make her own, too.

Take that, Jamie Lee!

I saw a candid interview with the future White House family. The youngest girl was asked what is her favourite food ?

She replied yogurt !

lol

Seriously, she replied ice cream.

:)

& during the interview she cutely was interupting others asking when are they going for ice cream .....is it time for ice cream yet ? Are we finished ? - can we now get ice cream.

I think that we are all responding to the responses, i.e. Jamie Lee's sore winner disrespectful statement, the media still saying that they are going to protect him and that he is perfect and flawless, to people being interviewed saying praise the lord my home will be paid for and my welfare checks will be bigger I now have no worries.

We can still support President elect Obama and discuss the responses to his win....we are not the media. I am not going to sensor what I comment on; again I am not the media.

What I don't understand is why you are taking everything out on this poor company...

Let me ask you this...what do you hope to gain? Do you want Jami Lee Curtis removed as a spokesperson? Do you want them to fail as a company? What?

You certainly can't blame everything you're talking about on this one company.

I understand what you are saying - but this - really?

And I take it back about not protesting a company. Remember the Quiznos ad a few years ago, the one where the guy was so busy making sandwiches he forgot to feed his bird - then showed a dead bird at the bottom of the cage?

Well, the ad upset me so much I wrote to them threating that I would start a national boycott if they didn't remove it immediately - they got rid of it - fast!

My God, Jinh...

Let it go.... It has been explained to you every which way, and you are STILL going at it like a dog with a bone... Is there a disconnect somewhere?

We are protesting the only place we might be heard..... Possibly to get an apology from MS Curtis...

Why on earth is this so important to you? WE are entitled to our OWN free speech, and we just exercised it... For some reason, you seem to want to censor our free speech while defending Jamie Lee's...

Doesn't compute, Jinh... The world doesn't revolve around what you think is the right thing to do.... Something to keep in mind...

Yikes...
