OK -- so I finally downloaded Firefox to my computer. Now, I have a question. I see that I can get tabs at the top, and have gotten them occasionally, but only by accident. How do I get them, so I can look a couple of places at once?

Help me, please!!!!!

:)

Right click on the link you want to open, and select "Open in new tab"... It's right below open in new window...

Did you know you can set multiple home pages? Open all you normally visit in tabs, then go to "Tools/Options/Main and select the Start up home page option of "Use current pages".... You can change them just as easily at any time...

Can I just open one randomly? Like if I want to search in another window?

I may set the multiple home pages up. I have this little "route" I visit each day. It would make that easier!!! LOL

Rumor has it ;) that Santa is bringing us a new computer for Christmas, so I am not going to get this too set up, but I do want to learn about it.

And I DO like it very much, PK :) even though it took me a long time to using it. Actually, I watched my nephew download it and use it the other night and thought, "That's not so bad!" LOL

Ask away, Skeeter....

If I don't have the answers, someone will...

Have you put AdBlockPlus on it yet?

I've been shopping Overstock all morning, it's the last day of the ten percent and free shipping that I accessed through my email.... I was researching prices, and many of them wound up back at Overstock. Somehow, I accessed my cart through one of the other windows, and lost half my discounts, LOL, so I had to start over...

BUT... I got a 5 light island fixture that normally retailed for 200 (100 @ Costco), are you ready? Under 20 bucks.... It works on an adjustable slide and will be perfect for the new 6 ft. island that will be magically appearing in my kitchen as soon as Gil can shorten the height a little. It will have a temporary top on it until we redo all the countertops. It is white, and it will stay white.... So there!

Thanks I will have to go back and see if there is anything else that I "need", lol

I just placed a couple hundred $ order on Friday. They had the best prices for each and every item that I needed/ordered. I was pleasantly surprised.

Glad to see you ladies using Overstock.

PK, I love your testimonial. Beach, glad you're spending and saving $$$ there.

It came into my view when an analyst on CNBC was touting their stock on Friday (OSTK on the Nasdaq). He was just loving them and talking about the potential...it's been beaten up like 99.9% of stocks this year but had a big gain on Friday after the mention, and who knows? Maybe more in the coming days? It's tempting....

Susan, both Jinh and I have used Overstock a LOT over the years, LOL...

The deals on Amazon have really dwindled of late. It's hardly worth it to shop there anymore... They've been having bottom line problems for a while, now, and have cut out the 30 day price protection, which chapped me and a lot of people...

I only went to Overstock to buy a winter jacket, and picked up the ceiling fixture and a floor lamp for the corner next to the new couch (That small table and lamp just isn't gonna cut it)... I got the floor lamp for about 60 bucks, while Amazon wanted $172 for the same one... I will admit, I liked boh the lamp and the ceiling fixture a lot more after visiting Amazon, LOL...

I may have to swing by Overstock tonight. We are waiting on guests, and what better things do I have to do than shop??? LOL

I have one item I couldn't find until last night on e-bay (well, I didn't know what the request was, at least) -- so I may look at Overstock and see what I find.

Thanks!

I shop Overstock all the time. I get a lot of my bedding items there. Just got a great Sealy foam mattress topper for practically nothing.

I just ordered a kingsized 3" (convoluted) memory foam topper for 40 bucks... And a set of 400 count sheets for the same... (Which by the way, are $36 today, natch...)

There's a Monday (only) sale with a 15% cash back from PayPal on orders over $100....

I have to pass on THAT one, LOL... I shopped for everything I could think of yesterday...

hey, I bought 400 count sheets too!! Had to get a deeper size to accommodate the topper. They came already, and they are very nice!

I have to get back to shopping for others though. lol

Hah....

I reviewed I reviewed yesterday's order, and discovered I ordered the wrong jacket - the reason I went there to begin with! So, I ordered the right jacket (it was still the same price) and a small chandelier to swag over the glass topped dinette (Lowes has the brushed nickel chain, if we need more)... I JUST made the cut off for the 15% PayPal cashback, LOL, so I am a happy camper once again...

That cash back PayPal deal is good through 12/22....

Do you all belong to the O club(overstock.com club)?
It says that if you pay the yearly fee shipping is always free and you get an extra 5% off of your orders.

Susan, do you own stock in overstock.com?

Hi all...good thread!

I was just browsing around Ebay, they have a 10% off coupon up to $100.00 there, but I don't think they have the PayPal 15% off with that...hmmmm

PK, is the PayPal discount just for Overstock, or universal?

Just for Overstock... I've seen it occasionally on other sites when they're trying to get people to use PayPal...

Any site that has that SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAM, will have it prominently listed on the item pages...

<<Susan, do you own stock in overstock.com?>>

No I don't, Beach, but I have a small brokerage account that I do some swing trading with, and I'm always watching for momentum stocks. I just checked and the stock is being bludgeoned today.....glad I waited.

The first Black Friday numbers looked a little promising when they came out early in the weekend, but now it seems that retailers' chances at a decent holiday season are slim to none.
