I just learned that the company that mkes Archway Cookies has gone bankrupt.I'm a "recovering diabetic" and their sugare-free cookies were a staple in my cupboard.
You know times are rough when you can't get your favorite cookie!
I buy those cookies too!
weird..
Cant someone buy them out?

They have been out of business for about a month or so now.
I used to love the holiday cookies and displays that came into our stores.
So sad.

A friend just forwarded an article to me about how the new owners of Archway plan to restart the business. They are hoping to have cookies back on the shelves by December 15th. Yipppeeee!

Archway is one of the few brands of store bought cookies that still taste good. Most of them taste like cardboard or, in the case of the soft Pepperidge brand cookies, unbaked and raw. I like Archway's molasses, oatmeal and lemon cookies. They kept the same ingredients they always used unlike Lorna Doones or Vanilla Wafers that no longer contain real vanilla! I like a good plain cookie.

Remember how good Hostess Cupcakes used to taste before they changed the ingredients? Now the icing is like a piece of silicon placed ontop of the cake.

How sad! I grew up with Archway and I always look forward to their holiday cookies. I hope they stick to the tried and true and don't skimp when they get back on the store shelves. My favorite was the Iced Molasses!

Jacinta.....The supermarket by me sells Joseph's Sugar Free Cookies. I think they sell them on the Q also or at least they did. Maybe you could try to find them in your area.

I'll have to look for Joseph's Cookies. I found something called Murray's sugar-free cookies and they weren't half bad. Still, I'm waiting for the return of Archway.

I saw Joseph's cookies in my local Ocean State Job Lot - that store usually sells closeout items, so Joseph's may be on the way out.

I was a sucker and bought the Joesephs cookies one time from the Q because they showed on air a pile of cookies that consisted of one serving as compared to other brands of cookies. Got my order and it was only a couple cookies that was a serving...not a pile like they showed on air. They weren't all that good either for the price you pay.

I wouldn't if I were you, I was just glad that I didn't sign up for the autodelivery because then I would have had to go to the trouble of cancelling that before it even started.
