Lordy, have you ever seen anything more pathetic and dorky looking?

I thought they were absolutely hideous!! Did you see Rick D. during the presentation yesterday sitting in one...I bet they had to pay him extra money to do that...he looked like a fool. I wonder if they ever really sell the amounts that they claim or it that is a way to try to entice people that it is such a 'popular' item. I always wonder too how many of that number gets returned.

I never knew that we had to be fashionistas while sitting on the couch, at home with a blanket thrown over us. I thought it was a great idea. Wish I had thought of it. Cant tell you how many times I had to go catch kids, dogs, answer phones etc. and tried to figure out how to keep the blanket on me!! I was going to get one for myself but since its that time of yr. to buy for others, I would have felt guilty. Plus, I wanted to the pink and it had sold out.

They were ridiculous looking and while I agree that you don't have to look glamorous while relaxing after a hard day's work, I think that, at my worst, I look better than the models dressed in a slanket....

I've seen commercials for something called a "Snugli" (sp???). I think it's the same idea - a blanket with sleeves. Also the infomercial does a 2 for 1 thing and I think it's 19.95 or so.
You might try googling it.

I ordered this blanket for my mom, she will love it because she is continuously cold all winter long. This is perfect for her while she sews and reads.

I don't believe the Slanket was invented to be any type of a fashion statement and I HIGHLY doubt my mom will be wearing it out of the house.

Many years ago my sister boiught something like a slanket for our mother. One evening Mom was zipped up inside the thing when the phone rang. She forgot she was zippered in the damned blanket and got up to answer the phone, only to fall flat on her face. Luckily she wasn't injured.

The blanket went to St. Vincent de Paul the next day.

When I saw the first Slanket presented, I couldn't imagine why anyone would buy that. I use a soft blanket/throw when I'm cold watching TV. Then the TSV Slanket day came and my husband saw it and said I ought to get it. I said no thanks. But he kept after me during the day and I ordered it in the deep green. It came and I absolutely love it! No one was more surprised than me. It is very soft on both sides and is easy to slip on and off when I need to get up or have a hot flash. The size is perfect and I've even worn it once to answer the phone. But the main use is to snuggle in and still have your arms available to do other things. I use my laptop (like now) and my arms stay warm while I type. It's much easier to maneuver than a robe or sweater. I love it and will take it on car trips, too.

I ordered the Slanket for my 81 year-old mother (who lives with me) as a Christmas gift and then began regretting it after I read the posts here. I almost sent it back, but decided to give it to her anyway. She absolutely loves it! She can sit in her recliner and do her crossword puzzles and read the paper and she is totally warm the entire time. I borrowed it the other day to take a nap and I loved it, too! Glad I didn't return it!

I agree with you. Bill is impersonating me because I gave him an infraction for profanity. Since then he has been harassing me. Every time I post something he gives me an infraction and then posts as pink polka dots_. It's getting ridiculous and he's been reported. I used to like reading the posts and contributing.

I bought these for my 2 sons' girlfriends age 21 and 23 and my daughter, 19, for Christmas. They absolutely love them. They took pictures in front of the tree and posted them on Facebook. My boys fought the girls for them over that weekend. Both girls are in college, living in drafty apartments and tell me they use the slankets quite often. Wish I'd thought of this.

I couldn't believe the local radio reports that several bars/pubs in the NYC area will be having "Slanket Parties" next month. The idea is that you go to the bar wearing a slanket and pay admission. You get to watch the basketball playoffs and enjoy a special party. The proceeds go to charity.
