I want to ask a serious question and I'm directing it towards any of you who may have bought, or buy Epiphany jewelry.

A couple years ago I had purchased a really pretty 2cttw Epiphany round solitaire and was using it as a placeholder for my engagement ring and wore it pretty much every day and put it through the rigors of daily activity. Within almost no time at all, the platinum was scratched all to hell and completely worn away at the bottom of the band. You could see the silver and it looked just terrible.

I was pretty upset, of course, since my ring was now ruined but I kept it anyway and still wear it from time to time, just not in the engagement sense since I broke up with my ex-fiance last year. ANYWAY...

My question is...if you've bought Epiphany rings and worn them frequently, have you ever experienced the same thing I did with the wearing away of the platinum and the major scratching?

By the time I wanted to write a customer review, the ring was no longer in inventory (go figure, lol) so I wrote a review on a ring that was very similar to mine. I was totally honest about what happened to it and my review was rejected for being "too negative." I got pretty angry because if I can't even tell the truth and warn others not to buy products, what is the point of the review system?

Any thoughts on the quality of Epiphany or on my question?

I had that happen with a technabond ring that I liked. It had real gemstones in it so I was annoyed that it didn't hold up the way they promised. But, no, I have not had any experience with Epiphany.
As for the reviewing process, I once had a review rejected because they had no record that I had purchased the item.
You could take the ring to a jeweler and have it dipped and refinished.

I've never bought epiphany jewelry, because it has gotten so many negative reviews on the qvc site where you can write a product review. That's a shame about your ring.

I've got one ring and several pair of Epiphany earrings. Never had any problems like you're having. I wear the ring almost every day too. I think you should still try to get your money back. All they can say is no...give it a try anyway. Good luck!

Sorry to hear about your ring.

I too have several pieces of Epiphany jewelery and never once did I have the problem you are having. I wear the rings all the time with no problems, some I have owned for more than 2 years.

I wonder if you called QVC they could replace it? I know its been more than 30 days but it never hurts to ask. The worst they can say is no. If you don't want to replace, maybe they can give you QVC credit?

That's a good idea to take it to a jeweler. I never even thought about doing that. Of course, it'll cost a lot of money to have it refinished, but if it could restore the damage, I'd be happy.

The thing is, I don't think I want to bother trying to replace it simply because it's a really pretty ring and they don't have it in inventory anymore. I don't even remember how much I paid for it, since I didn't save the paperwork.

I know I could call CS and raise a stink, but the point is, do I really want to, LOL? I'll just take it to a jeweler first and see if they will be able to fix and refinish it.

I understand what you mean 13th. However, QVC has record of your purchase and you could call and let them know. Sometimes you get a great CS person and they are more than willing to help you out.

4 yrs ago, I ordered a puzzle for my step son, I couldnt remember the name or the item number so I called QVC, they found the order immediately and was able to help me out. Unfortunately, the product is no longer offered.

I hope the jeweler can help you. Please let us know how that goes for you. :)

The Cubster buys me Epiphany all the time and I have not had a problem with any of it. I did have a ring that I sent back to be repaired. The stone was loose and they took care of it with no problems and a really quick turn around. I had it for well over a year before the stone loosened. If the finish looks faded or worn, they should repair or replace it - period. It has a lifetime warranty. Use it to the fullest!
