I'd love to hear from some of the former hosts give us the real scoop about JTV. How were you treated. Is this CEO that was hired last year really that bad of a guy and the cause of the problems? Did you know about the gem stone diffusion thing and were told to keep it to yourself. Post anonymously. There are plenty of sites out there that will hide your IP.

I would think that the hosts had to sign a contract for employment that prohibits them from trashing the company should they be let go. When you're in the public eye, you must be very careful about what you say, otherwise, a law suit.

it;s more likely that when they let the hosts in question go, theygave them a severance package that demanded their silence about anything about the company operations for at least a year. Or lose the severance

Her speech is horrible and she is always talking like she has a full mouth of saliva! Do other hosts talk about her because I know she's not making her sales goals. And please answer this for me, which hosts are bad and which hosts are good... Thanks! Oh yeah, does the hosts get chewed out because of their appearance because Misty is a HOT MESS. She looks like she stinks. I am not harsh, I've just never seen a network that is so ghetto in my life, but it is entertaining to watch but I still don't buy anything. Hi Nicole! Welcome to the boards. I'm sorry you arnen't a host anymore ... you were one of the only gem hosts that I felt really knew what they were talking about. I want to know, if JTV is laughing at all of those people who buy the gemstone parcels ... cuz I've orderd a few of them and they were embarrassingly bad. JTV should have been ashamed to send out such poor merchandise IMO.

I get the feeling JTV tries to sell itself as a Christian/family company ... yet many of the hosts (ok ... mostly Sharon) lie thru their teeth about the quality of the pieces of jewelry she is selling. I'm sorry, I'm not GIA certified or a jewelry expert ... but I do know it's not really fair to compare a low quality gemstone set in 10k gold to a piece that is sold at a "high end boutique" (high quality gemstone and 18k gold). I don't believe Sharon for a single second when she says she buys anything in 10k gold.

Misty used to post here with us, she was very sweet. I happen to really like her.

You may or may not know that I am originally from the south...the "Bible Belt" as it is known. Unfortunately, I have never seen so much abuse of the words "Christian" and "family" since I move back here from Michigan in 2004. Alot of that abuse was observed while I worked for JTV. It is one thing to "say" that you are a Christian and treat people as they should be treated. It is another to actually "do" it. I'll leave it at that.

Can't say I'm surprised and I think I speak for nearly everyone here when I say that JTV loses credibility every time they put her on the air! I have NEVER bought anything she's shown just in case hosts get commission! lol I don't know if you've watched lately, but the days of Wendy getting the high end stuff are over. I don't know what's going on over there, but all they seem to be pushing is turquoise jewelry.

I really think that she can be one of the "good ones" if she can hang in there long enough. (I do know that she had to take a second job at one point. For those people who think show hosts are overpaid - think again. It depends upon who you are and who you're married to.)

Avi, well... the jury is still out. She was always nice to me. Because her family traveled alot when she was a kid, she only has a GED level education, and I think that she sometimes tries to overcompensate for that. Big words...they don't always make the impact that you want them to. But, she is gorgeous, and young, and obviously, someone in management at JTV likes her, so more power to her!

I'd like to know if you were around when Jennifer Ladd, Angie McCarter or Tamara Mazetti were there (I can't remember when you came on). I always liked them as hosts ... except Tamara was a bit of a spaz at times! lol! I also really liked Casey (can't remember her name). I'm sad they left. When they left, I kind of stopped watching as much.

Wendy is just boring to me. Her voice is so monotone and it puts me to sleep. I also don't like how she always says "Earths crust". It may be the correct term .. but it sounds yucky. I used to rag on her for her press on nails and really really bad hair extensions ... glad she got rid of them both! lol ...

At that time many (including myself, I'll own up to it) had been saying some pretty bad things about them and they called us out by name, to let us know they were reading our posts! lol ...

I still don't like Scott, sorry! I've been known to call him Goober around here. You worked with him a lot and probably think he's great ... I just don't like watching him, his haircut, his facial hair, his accent, his dancing stones ... yuck yuck yuck! Sorry! :-(

Hi, it was cool to read Nichole's posts. I always enjoyed her shows, even though i didn't buy gemstones, just jewelry, but she really knew her stuff. Hated to see her let go, especially since it seems the only time i turn on jtv wendy or heidi are on and i can't bear listening to them. Last week on day i had on jtv and heidi was on and she said if she didnt sell out the ring she was showing it might be her last show........ They're kinda low budget, but ghetto? lol I guess they kinda qualify as ghetto. I've seen some hosts on other networks that looked a hot mess as well, but as much as JTV tries to be high end, you'd think they'd at least hire some hair and makeup people. Some of the hairdos those gals create are just insane.

I actually like Misty and I think she looks much better with the caramel blonde colored hair she is sporting now. I know the other day she was hosting, I had a good laugh because she was sitting in a chair that barely allowed her to see over the top of the desk. I'm guessing she just didn't like her shirt that day or the chair broke. Either way, it was funny.

i returned something to JTV less than a month ago and it only took about ten days to get to my money back. sometimes the amount of time it takes to get a credit back depends on the bank or the credit card company not the merchant.


on an unrelated note, i dont blame Nicole if she's bitter. she doesn't seem that way but if she is she has the every right to be. anyone that gets laid off uncerimoniously after years of service while inept family members of the boss' get to keep their job deserve to vent a little.

That is what happens when it is home cooking.....I did not know gems could reduce wrinkles or help with clogged pores......Have any of you girls bought the stuff?Obviously after they got rid of Vagheggi they have now realized that you only need so much jewlery but skin care is a consumable product and it runs out and people order IF the product is good. Vagheggi had a 4% return rate compared to 40% in jewelry and gemstones.... I'm just saying. I must look at the ingredients to see if there is emough of the active ingrdients are active. I know malacite, rhodalite.....ect. are not. Try www.divakminerals.com......and Yes i have worked there when there were 50 people. It was fun to watch it grow but the schedule became to much for me and I do not believe every thing I am told. Nor did I or do what I am told when I am being patranized. Game playing is not for me. At that time many (including myself, I'll own up to it) had been saying some pretty bad things about them and they called us out by name, to let us know they were reading our posts! lol ...

She was married and cheated on her husband with one of the big wigs.....They split up and then the guy she was having the affair with moved out of state on his wife's insistence. So he pretty much dropped her like a hot potato.

Cheryl has a lot of ads up locally on various animal rescue sites for animals that she is fostering. I always liked that about her, but I don't know what she is doing professionally.

Thank You for the answer to my question as well ! ......... JTV is still the same after all the posts asking for better hosts. Sheree drives me crazy with her " GUYS" 500 times an hour. Scott makes me sick as well. To top it off, the class action over Andesine is being drug out until November. Oh, but the owners can take a big trip for summer. We who sent back our gemstones will not get our full refunds. Oh no money JTV ? Sell your JET, and pay us back for our worthless gemstones you said were worth a great deal. Hi Sistah2me, Thanks for the reply ! Hope you had a great 4th of July. Here out west it's been beautiful weather for us, with near 90* . I have stopped watching John & Kate. Can't support them after what John did to Kate and the children. No matter how Kate talked to him. ( John needed to have a heart to heart with Kate about it) I think Kate was sick of caring for 9 kids !!!! John was a air head most of the time. As a nurse, I know it makes you want to do all things right, all the time and that can and does spill over into the way you care for your kids. I do not watch JTV and their gem shows very often. Why they still have Sheree on air along with Misty and Mikki. Can't take their southern accent ! I look at my husband and ask him " what did she just say" ???? Enjoy the summer.

I watch the gem show to see if they are changing anything after reading the boards... I know they know about us... But there are days I just can't watch... I started looking for bracelet castings to put the gemstones I do have into one... that is hard! Searching for a place that sells it... I can only hope that after things get better I will have something worth something... I did that with the Obama stuff as well I have so much stuff I collected... papers from Kenya, China, New York, D.C., and Baltimore then magazines and tickets and picutes and man... I had to stop collecting after a while ... My frame for all that stuff is so large it takes 2 people to carry it oh and the bobbleheads and pins ... etc.... So imagine how many gemstones I collected from JTV.... scary right?!

Brooke is an absolute sweetheart! Honestly, she probably got her job because she is a friend of the Kouns family, but she doesn't make anywhere CLOSE to as much money as some of the other hosts. HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. — A local beauty queen recently picked up a big win, but it does not come with a crown. Miss Erwin-Harnett County recently had a second surgery to remove the same brain tumor, but this time, doctors think they got it.

Brooke McLaurin looks like a beauty queen with her eyes and her smile. The only blemish is a little spot behind her head.

"You know, you just never think that tomorrow you'll wake up and be told that you have a brain tumor," she said.

"How do you look at your child and say, 'You have a brain tumor and you've got to have emergency surgery?'" said Teresa Carter, Brooke's mother.

McLaurin went to the hospital for emergency surgery. The surgery went well, but a few months later, she started having problems again. Doctors found that part of the tumor was still left behind. McLaurin went for a second operation and like the first, she came out smiling.

"It's a stepping stone in my life that has made me more of the person that I am now and that's OK," she said. "I'm stronger because of having to endure two brain surgeries in one year. Everything molds you into who you are."

Among flowers and get-well cards, McLaurin said she is flying high.

"I'm ready just to get on with my life," she said.

Doctors found that the tumor was not cancerous. McLaurin said she will have to get regular check-ups for the rest of her life, but it seems as though the battle is behind her.

Sorry mystyladytrish you had to come back to all of this... especially when you have the love of gemstones... but I guess everything that we thought was true at one time is no longer... and if you are watching JTV still you can tell it in the attitude of the host... Yes it is sad and yes Dear there is documentation as I'm sure you are aware of now... But it would be nice if we could talk about gemstones... and which ones are our pride and joy!
