all Shawn, all the time

here's my question: What is up with 'expert buyer' Shawn? I have nothing against him, & he is obviously knowledgeable, but he is a buyer, not a host (he REALLY doesn't have the voice for it), yet he's clearly not been doing any buying in the last few weeks because he's on every time Dawn is on and lately he's been on other people's shows as well. Yesterday I saw him with Sharon and today he's on with Scott & Avi. Why is everybody sharing their shows with Shawn, and if he's going to be a ubiquitous new host, shouldn't JTV add him to the host page?

Who knows what's going on with JTV anymore? The logic behind so many of their recent actions is baffling. Maybe they're trying to mix it up by having an "expert" on hoping that he'll lend them some much needed credibility.

BumBradge .. I read someplace here that Shawn's teenage or 20's year old son has BRAIN cancer . I would imagine that he wants to stay close to home. Chemo/Radiation & surgery, would you do the same, were it your child? I am sure he would like to be able to go, but more important to him (and would be to me) to be close as possible to his child. Brain cancer is one of the worst kinds of cancer, hear you feel no pain, but I know someone aged 40 who died of it long ago, things have changed now to be of more help, but a parent or loved one being there, YES! Oh, I know some other person who died of same thing when he was about 26 or so, usually it is quick with brain cancer. Shawn is terrific person and, I expect, a super buyer, he kept his mouth shut during the first FAULT show when stupid, IMO, Cheryl mispronounced many stones, did not know what or where a stone was from, bet she was great in school, NOT doing research, homework. First FAULT show should have been 'at the TOP' when she 'screwed up on many things' Shawn, the gentleman he is, then would say it is called X or rare stone comes from X. A LOT of time could have been saved had she DONE HOMEWORK! - I say it again, I thought she was NOT very good, know most liked her, I did NOT and watched all the weight she gained - Maybe she can get a job with one of the 'slimfast' places.

I think that Shawn is just fine. And, if he does have problems with his child, I wish them well. However, having him on so often, and with the other hosts is very boring. I don't like the fact that we are saying the same few hosts over and over again, with no diversity. They should have kept Cheryl and Nicole, at least, and perhaps cut everyone's time on the air. Keeping a show on the air 24 hrs. a day, 7 days a week, must be extremely costly. Perhaps they could cut the time on the air, as well. There had to be something better that they could have done besides showing us the same hosts, reruns, and mixing gemstones with jewelry, and Bella Luce. This show has become very disappointing lately.

OK . here is what I KNOW from having deaths in my family and illnesses. Working helps to keep one's mind busy, perhaps that is what he was & is doing, keeping busy and staying close to his loved one(s).

I wish Nicole were still there, not Cheryl, did not like her not knowing things she should have known, her sense of humor was great, but not her knowledge, imo.

I did post that Shawn's son has tumors... I spoke to his sister who is a appraiser... he is staying close to home because of his son.... Also, I believe... this is just a guess... that after all of the mistakes with the andesine, Shawn is there to keep people from mis-speaking again... he is on with Scott tonight... He has a great personality and I believe it keeps the other host from going stupid... Even Scott is a little more subdued than what is usual... Also I do believe they moved Avi because of all of the comments on the board. I (my personal opinion) believe Shawn does give the show a little more of the family thing that what they didn't have before.

They have enough hosts on the roster to keep a good rotation, if they would eliminate the two host teams. Maybe they could hire a couple of new hosts to do the late night shifts were there is less viewership, this would free up the other hosts to days.

My opinion is that they are now using the buyers for clarity... Jay was on yesterday then you have Shawn and lets not forget I think the other buyer was on as well... this is probably to keep all of the confusion out of what they are selling... Note: When the andesine debocko happened there was Shawn... So they are there (maybe) to keep host from saying dumb things like " this is natural color" "this is the last time you will see this"

Well that part isn't working! I was watching Dawn with Shawn & Mandy with Jay, both the gals said stupid things!
Is it my imagination or are they repeating the shows? And what's up with another show starting about 20 minutes into a previous show?

They have been replaying shows for a while now, mostly in the middle of the night. The reason the shows overlap is so they can edit the sold out items out of the original shows....but some of the items shown aren't available on the rerun anyway. I tried to get a great deal on wire for wirewrapping on one of Dawn's reruns a while back and it was sold out. The operator said it happend all the time and people yell at her. She thanked me for being polite and understanding!

It's sad that customer service has to take our abuse when the company is the one screwing up! Yet those where there the 1st people they fired... sad... I only hope that they are keeping up with the board... it would be nice if they would tell us reruns and some items might not be available... That would show customers how much they appreciate them... oops sorry we were talking about Jtv
