Take a look. omg. Take a look, they keep playing J on phone on way back from Tucson saying 'best in years, cut, color, etc' what Scott & Avi are saying is blueberry blue is SOOOO translucent purple and, you KNOW, what they show are best of the bunch!
RIDICULOUS, either my TV is off color or their glasses/monitor are OFF and I have a feeling it is JTV's uhhhh lying? Looking at Tanzanite in the Fault, you can see a huge difference. AND, prices are way down, you MUST look:)
Now the one up now one only 15k for almost 9k is bluer than the rest, but I still see purple in it, NOT buying any!!!!

LOLOL Guess what, same show is on again NOW! J calls in again, LOL and stones are the ones they did not find for the Tanzanite closeout (or whatever it was) over the weekend. Amazing, they sold out yesterday and, YET, again, same show with same stones on again! PURPLE still, same clothes on hosts too - how long with JTV be in business?

Are you saying that they are showing Repeat shows?

Either they are OR, they each wear same clothing again AND, sell the same stones again?!
GemLover

Yes, this is same show as the one he did first time I posted; purple tanzanite. Went on the air around 10 past the hour, will he go off at top of next hour?, don't know, he is NOT scheduled to be on and not sure Dawn was either, with that hideous, imo, dress she wears, blue lace down her arms. BLUEBERRY BLUE!! LOL

I'm seeing the same shows over and over. First, I saw Dawn with Shawn and she was wearing a pink dress. Then came Robert and one of the models. Then came Dawn again wearing a blue lace dress. But, correct me if I'm wrong, it's not "Fault", it's "Vault" that you are referring to, when they talk about their expensive, "vault" items, not their expensive, "fault" items. Then, came the same recording of Jay in Tuscon. Who do they think that they're fooling. And then Dawn, talking about teaching her son, phonics, over and over again. Not appropriate for a sales host. Just talk business.

AdVDolls :) I was being funny saying FAULT. I know it is vault. You mean Dawn was on before Robert too? LOL and now Mandy is on selling GEMSTONES, but says she will or is selling jewelry. They are so screwed up.
Still say, if they had MILLIONS to buy stones, now to sell them and showing same shows over with all the SOLD OUT stones appearing again, ridiculous.
Mandy has up a 1.50ct Tanzanite for $399.99. They, I think, think that by selling what they bought at 'the show' for a good/great price they will get things sold and make money, fine; but to me, that would make prices drop, no? I mean all over. IF they keep showing a 'oneonly' and then it is sold out, yet show it again, wonder what you will get, washed out junk and not being kept up on i'net either. When Scott/Avi were one, still said DAWN was on, yet NOTHING in her 'previous items' were there. Or few were.
I did NOT see the pink dress, on the blue one and either Mandy is pregnant or has on an ugly moo moo, ugly either way.

Did NOT hear Dawn (who can talk longer than a filibusterer!) talk about her Son - her grammar is awful to begin with same as many others, think Scott has problems too and he was a teacher? And his wife is an English teacher? - Glad I do not live where they do.

I have to say that being from New Jersey, the very "twangy" accents like the one that Scott has, my husband says that he sounds like Dr. Phil, and the one that Wendy has are extremely annoying. I'm not prejudice, but it makes them sound like "goobers" and not very intelligent. I've known a lot of people from the South who do not speak that way, just a nice, delightful, twang. But not in your face, deep country fried. I also think that it takes the credibility away from what they are saying since they sound like they've just crawled out of the swamps. New Jerseyians are some times known for an accent, but it's usually those who've migrated from New York that bring those accents with them. We call them "Benny's."
ie: Brooklyn, Newark, New York, Yonkers, Staten Island.

I just wish they would give me a reason to help start the economy again... There is now something missing! Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Cheryl is gone and Nicole is gone and Valerie is gone... Although I was not impress with her at all... actually I don't miss her... The only black face and she never to me had anything intelligent to say about the gemstones... I was actually excited for her when she 1st came on then all hope died... At this point I hope they will listen... ore even ask the people they fired what they could do different.. to make their show better or even ask the customers for their opinion and listen...It's the ho hum show now... They are selling Bella Luce now...they should have kept that girl on they had on at 1st selling it... I liked her... she made you think that Bella Luce was the best thing there was! Better than buying the real thing!...

Just a little heads up. I have a 5 kt tanzanite triple grade color mounted in 18kt yellow gold O.k. I'm painting a picture here. (I have 4 tanzies)So the story must go on. It also has 50 points of si1 to vs 2 diamonds going down the shank of the ring. I decided to sell some of my stuff so I took it to those guys that come around town and say we will buy Yada yadaa...... So I proudly put my ring up there that has a 13,000.00 dollar appraisal . He offered me 750.00 because he said I can't sell this cause the market is flooded with the stone.18kt gold. Are you getting the picture here. I paid about 6 times that. So now believing all the hype from everywhere I have Tanzanite that isn't worth even near what I paid for and I got it wholesale. Yep so the prices would go up and I could help my porfolio. I'm just saying..........but it id come out of the earth's crust.

Kinda what I meant when you see them selling SO MUCH tanzanite for low prices, gonna bring down the market. The 'sellers' who hoard them to get a great price, have now, moreNlikely lost money, as you have, maybe prices will go up?? I am NOT surprised, I am wondering what the original markup was to begin with? two times? AND, appraisal, at the time, means, to replace, but like a NEW car, drive it off the lot and lose 1k or more. JTV showing over and over one of a kind blue, blue, blue 10 or more kts for less than they have (so says Dawn) on the lower grade stuff they bought a while ago (selling that for over 1k kt) . who knows .. I called Tiffany's; they do NOT carry it anymore. Seems people do not want colored stones, so they say. I think Diamonds of TOP quality are their biggest item. Why should they carry tanzanite when no one wants it? To have one or two around, maybe AND, I read someplace, put it in a ring, hit it on a 'something' as you pass by and damage it or crack it, not that hard, around the neck is only place to wear it (unless you fall down a lot:).
I am really sorry you were only offered that kind of money for your stone. Gold went over or close to a thousand last week, but how thick is that and has to be 24 kt for that price. I would rather buy it than gems IF I had the money to buy expensive things; the economy may get worse and what I bought was to keep as a 'in case of' but now seems, that whatever it is, not worth very much at all.
Might try calling a few jewelry stores and see what they are selling top grade for? If they have any to sell, could ask if they are selling? Wonder how many jewelers are going out of business too?
I hope I can live on what I get, lose a job, social security broke, welfare, all of it; not good times at all.
I watch as the little bit I have drops daily.

Normally when I go into a mall and into a jewerly store I alway look at the colored gemstones to see what they have. Today I go into one and all they have is diamonds... a little bit of colored diamonds but everything was just diamonds. No.. colored gemstones.. I just walked out... last year or the year before you would see tanzanite or gemstones of some type but not now!... I still watch the shows and if you notice even JTV is only trying to put out diamonds... they don't have much jewerly in the way of colored gemstones in jewerly... I guess that is what the market is right now go for what you know... Times are hard! I'm just hoping I can keep my job... with things being the way they are...

He said people are holding on to it so when the market gets itself together they will have it when the price goeis back up... He said ask any dealer... That's what Scott said today on JTV

When I first discovered JTV (and tanzanite) about 6 - 7 years ago, I remember their website sold Tanzanite by color. You could search for either purple or blue. The purple was less expensive, but like others have said ... to each their own.
They keep talking about how they haven't seen prices this low in years. I haven't noticed much of a price change.

I think it is more! I got a parcel with .20 ctw and they were pretty and only I think at that time (I wanna say) $29.99 or $39.99 It was a zinger Scott had when I 1st started collecting... and they now sell a .20 ctw for $49.99 or $59.99... I just laugh now! couldn't afford the bigger ones... just wanted to get some to say I had it...LOL for my kids!

OK, so last night I'm doing my JTV drive by, and Dawn is showing a super dark (and very pretty) tanzanite (.70 points), selling for around $70. I'm thinking ... this is one to avoid (fear of the coating everyone has been talking about).
I'd love more info if anybody has it (about this coating). It's scattered around on so many different threads that I can't find it now.
I would be nervous to buy any tanzanite (dark, desireable color) that was selling for anything less than $300 a carat.

Look under Robinzeggs threads ... I believe she and Gemlover mentioned it about the color coating... I think I saw Dawn talking about it but fell alseep on them... LOL ... that is what I use them for to go to sleep!... Can't afford to buy anything from them anymore... I use them for my lulabye... LOL.. they were selling .20 ctw when I fell asleep... I bought a parcel from them earlier on of .20 ctw stones of tanzanite and now they sell one stone for $79.00 Oh my!... So I'm hoping that I miss that coloring that Robinzegg or Gemlover mentioned because I bought my smaller stones early on... But I'm scared to think of buying any more right now... I don't know if JTV would try that after the fiasco (spelling?) of the andesine-labdorite? Let's hope not or there will be another lawsuit and this time I might go ahead and get my money back because they did not learn a thing!

I could be wrong, but I don't think that emeralds are treated for color. they are treated by oiling to deal with the cracks but I don't think that changes the color much

we have been warning people about the fact that the market would be flooded with tanzanite and that their prices would fall because of that.
there was a big argument with Mr Alphabet last year about this issue.
this is the same problem as the car industry. everyone already has cars, few people need new ones.

the one thing I can't stand about Dawn: that weird habit she has of swallowing back in between words, as if she has a huge gob of drool that's preventing her from talking so she has to pull it back in
every time i see her do that, i notice how big her adams apple is and I start wondering if she is a tranny not that there's anything wrong with that lol :)

Now what I really don't like about her is her disappearing acts... she will leave a stone on for hours (maybe long mins) and then say "Oh my where did the time go... I haven't even got through half our stuff!"... Well if you would stay and put the stones on tv instead of disappearing then you would have been through half the stuff!

Scott is a moron. He claims to have a gemology degree, I guess it doesn't take much to get one these day's. I still find it interesting that a so called "family business" would hire/keep this scum bag. I wonder if Scott has something on the owners that forces them to keep him on. RIDICULOUS, either my TV is off color or their glasses/monitor are OFF and I have a feeling it is JTV's uhhhh lying? Looking at Tanzanite in the Fault, you can see a huge difference. AND, prices are way down, you MUST look:)
