would you want that couch???? when I left my husband I had to stay with friends in a party house for five months waiting for a condo to be finished...I left my husband with nothing but some clothes.

I still remember how happy I was the day my condo was ready!

Lord, I can remember having that very carpet back in the late 60's/early 70's.

I saw a white phone. I still have one like that. Mine is bisque coloured. When it rings, people really react because it has the old fashioned bell ring tone. ring ~a~ring

I heard that old cats get cat dementia which causes the excessive 'talking' out of unsettling or odd behaviours such as or similar to humans who act differently with it

exactly what the vet said it is Sammy, she talks very very very loud to me all day and night and paces if she can't be near me, If I put her down away from me ( her breath could kill a horse) she will pace for an hour or more until I put her back beside me.

Its not a normal meow it is so loud it pierces your ears

I didn't know Cassie was having problems, but glad she's okay.

The excess "talking" and odd behaviors sound familiar. Winnie will be 18 in August and it seems like she's "talking" and "complaining" more. She always was demanding but now it seems like she's doing it for no reason half the time. Then I've caught her sleeping in the litter box sometimes lately. :/

KC, that sounds like kitty dementia too.

They get mixed up and they know/sense it and meow/express it !

Danielle
05-14-2009, 05:37 PM
yes its very common Kali awe sleeping in the litter box...

they also get freaked out if you change anything ask Zip lol we were on the phone one day and I had changed my winter bedding to my summer and Cassie freaked, she paced and followed me around the house talking for over an hour till I put the winter blanket back on the end of the bed, as soon as it was back she jumped on and went to sleep

Kali, Cass may have a brain tumour she is having little seizures. They don't know if it's her kidney problems or a tumour and we don't want any further testing on her, the vet agreed because even if we knew what it was there is no treatment.

It's not causing her any distress just sometimes her little head shakes or her paws, we have already discusses our wishes for when the time comes with the vet.

Yeah, it does sound like it. She's doing okay otherwise. Not quite as roly poly as she used to be though; she used to be a real tank. LOL And she sleeps more. Just pretty much like an old person.

lol at the litter box. Barney always looks at her like, "WHAT do you think you're DOING?" And I just gently remove her and find a better spot for her!

Oh, she freaked when we moved last time but then she's always been the one who gets very vocal anyway. Barney is so good that you can pretty much take him anywhere. lol They're total opposites.

Aw, I'm sorry about the possible brain tumor in Cassie. I guess for her age, she's doing okay though. As long as she's not in pain or anything though. Give her a big hug from me and my cats. :)

Danielle
