They want your entries/submissions of your favourite fattening foods - espcially weirdo combos:
Deep fried tootsierolls
Taco rolled into a pancake
Fried food on a stick are always welcome
& anything with bacon is most desirable
but don't submit this one as it is already taken:
Twinkie bun, add a weiner, drizzle cheeze whiz !!
& CLOO don't even think of it !!!! Stay far away :)

I never get how they deep fry things like that especially ice cream.
Doesn't the ice cream melt.... doesn't the snickers bar and the tootsie rolls turn to liquid?
I do not get it.
I would like to see one and see one cut open.

I would think if the oil is etremely high heat and the dough around the ice cream is dipped carefully into the hot pot for only seconds enough to brown it and then immediately put in the freezer.

Baked Alaska. The meringue is browned but the ice cream remains frozen. You need to start with a very frozen pan of ice cream in saran wrap -

I just googled the ice cream is covered is different things and only deep fried for seconds
UHHHHHHH....Cony Island hotdogs; (Southern) barbecue--with all the trimmings-- slaw, etc;
Southern Fried Chicken in all its glorious variations! Collard greens........; Chitlin's! Regional variations of hamburgers-- and/or anything ELSE that is UN-HEALTHY, UNVEGETARIAN,--- AND, OF COURSE--DELISH!

So the ice cream is solid when you bite into it right after it comes out of the deep fryer?

I sometimes have it - and yes the ice cream is frozen hard. Similar to an ice cream sandwich. The outer dough/covering is cooked.

The food does look good, maybe just a bite would be okay, cheese seems to be the culprit
natch it's so delicious!

Try an iced latte with skim milk...its really not as good as the ones I used to drink with half and half...but sadly if I want to keep my weight off its what I have to sacrifice...the hot latte with skim milk is really good, better than the iced, you can't even tell its non-fat milk...

Morning Jules
Doing great! Each day is better and better. It's almost scary to feel this good. But I'll take it!!..lol
I forgot to ask Lavender what steel cut oats were. I'm sorry you can't seem to get your cholesterol controlled. I can be a worry, I know.
I eat a lot of oats now. Oatmeal especially every morning for breakfast. The heart doctor believes faithfully in eating oats.

How about trying Cheerios for 6 weeks? The commercial says you can lower your cholesterol by 4%.
Cindyloo

You know, I was just thinking the same thing..lol..and I love Cheerios.
I got some shredded wheat, which is good for me. Fiber-wise.
I probably DO need a change for breakfast and eat something different sometimes.
