I'm with you...I don't mind Carolyn at all. I believe most of the hosts talk about theirselves to some point, have to talk about something to kill the time. Can only talk about plants for soooo long!!

We will have to agree to disagree. Lisa R, and the others you mentioned aren't affraid to laugh at themselves. Don't get me wrong Antionella is my favorite because she seems genuine, real. You are right they all talk about themselves, but Carolyn seems to talk about how wonderful her house is, her husband is, her clothes are and how wonderful she is. I have heard her several times say that she looks great for fifty. She does? I haven't heard any of the others express how great they look.

P.S. I guess I'm not a crotch watcher because several of the hosts have been accused of showing their 'hump backed podiatry' including Dan Hughes and David Venable and I can't say that I've ever noticed.

Oh, I see. Thanx for the explanation. lol!! I know what you're referring to now. Yes, she does where her pants rather tight around that area. I once had an uncle who was very strict when raising his young daughters; he never let them wear any top that went above the crotch area. I think that's a little overkill, but I think the other extreme is pretty vulgar also.

Umm.........she looks okay. And, she doesn't really bother me, probably b/c she's an animal lover as I am.

Thing is, she def does NOT look like a size large. She looks as if she's a 16/18 or an ex. large.

I know of what I speak 'cause I've been there!

I remember right after the holidays, she was doing a Nutrisystem show, and going on about how she was starting it, and very excited about it.

Wonder if she gave it the ol' heave ho? It IS nasty!

She used to be "just okay" in my book because she seemed to be down to earth, amiable, and seemed to have a decent sense of humor. But, that was before the switch that seems to happen to ALL the QVC hosts...you guys know what I mean, LOL!

They all start off as pretty cool but after a period of time it's like they do this weird flip-flop and all of a sudden they start becoming really pushy when it comes to making sales, or they just start becoming totally moronic in the stuff they talk about (think Lisa M., Lisa R., Jane (but then again, she's always been a moron, >:)!), Dan W., MBR, etc.).

They're supposed to be professional on air, and IMO, one should not talk about himself or the material possessions he covets in the course of doing his job. I know the hosts are trying to help boost their sales but some of them are such BAD liars. The "I own XXX of these, and in every color" BS gets really, REALLY stale. Yeah, I really believe you have four Cooks Essentials deep fryers at your house, or half a dozen Clarisonic facial cleanser things.

Anyway, I digress. Carolyn used to be cool but obviously management put the screws to her and told her to change her selling style. Same old, same old. That's why the hosts at the Q suck, for the most part. They're like Play-Doh, being pressed through the same mold.

For example, I was participating in the Q storylines last year, and um..............there was a character I named Helga the masseuse.

Don't you know, Rick mentioned Helga when he was selling a massage chair........a coincidence?

I used to like Carolyn when she first started - her being an animal lover really won me over and I thought her radio background made her seem very professional in her presentations. Suddenly, she owns at least one of everything QVC sells - something Mary Beth used to say but I noticed MB has cooled it considerably. Her size does not bother me but she seems to stuff herself into smaller and not flattering clothes. I think Leah and Jayne are wonderful role models to follow they are both tall and healthy women who make no apologies about their size. The only complaint about Leah's wardrobe is that she really should toss all the baby doll tops - definitely not her best look.
