************************************************** *********

QUOTING FROM POSTER: Irishrose395;1865705 (Post Number)

Ok I hope someone else can answer this question.

And what are they about?

************************************************** *********

Jane Eyre is about a young woman who goes to work as a governess in an old castle and falls in love with the owner. It is kind of scary....romantic...irritating....a great read.

And Wuthering Heights was a book about a man who was brought to live in a home after he was found by himself in the city. His name was Heathcliff and the woman who grew up with in the home was named Cathy. He fell in love with her, and she with him but things didn't end up the way they were supposed to. The ending is very sad but good. Another great read.

Irishrose395
04-26-2009, 04:44 PM
Well once the ? of the author is answered I will look it up. lol.

Irishrose395
04-26-2009, 04:57 PM

Mandy
04-26-2009, 06:44 PM
Charlotte Bronte wrote Jane Eyre. Her sister, Emily, wrote Wuthering Heights.

I'm drawing a blank here on books that I've read recently, so I will ask another Harry Potter question.

Who turned out to be Harry Potter's true love?

It's Meli
04-26-2009, 06:51 PM
Ginny Weasly??

*************************

Mandy
04-26-2009, 06:54 PM

Irishrose395

I knew all the answers up until this one...

Oh, Pal...

Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights have been two of my favorite books since High School.

Mandy
04-27-2009, 05:17 AM
The first time I watched the movie, "Wuthering Heights", I totally fell in love with Laurence Olivier who portrayed Heathcliff.

He was so handsome in that. :)

Pal
04-27-2009, 05:39 AM
Too bad you weren't here yesterday Jules! It's a good thing Mandy came, lol.

When Kathy asks Heathcliff to take her to the window so she can look out over the moors, I cry every time, I cry every time.....

Yes, I thought Heathcliff was pretty scrumptious myself :)

Pal
04-27-2009, 05:40 AM
Did I mention I cry every time?? lol

Mandy
04-27-2009, 05:55 AM
I know, that part of the movie is so sad, sometimes I just don't even want to watch it.

There are also times that I just want to smack the hell out of Cathy. I guess I shouldn't be harboring so much violence while watching a classic romance. lol

lol :) Believe me, you're not the only one who wants to slap Kathy up side the head, lol.

I used to watch it and think that Heathcliff had an anger issue........but I came to realize that it was just that Cathy was so enraging, poor Heathcliff wanted to bash her on a regular basis. Now, I can relate, lol
