They are trying to sell SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAM on the jewelry you buy, just in case it breaks, it will be repaired replaced or refunded. If you believe that, I have a bridge.......

So say I buy a diamond bracelet that has high quality diamonds and is more of a designer piece (Yes, they do have them on occasion). I buy this "insur-ance" from JTV and 3 months down the road, it breaks and can't be fixed.

Am I to believe they are going to replace it with something of equal quality and "designer" worthiness? I'd love to know how they plan to be able to do this ... when everything they sell is from a close-out buy, with a very limited amount of each item.

I think they will put their own Mickey Mouse jewelers on the job to try to fix it....but how many hoops would one have to jump through to qualify?? Once you pay for the program, they have your money and you are at their mercy. I'm sure there is tons of fine print....and if a stone falls out how do you prove it if you lose it? I don't buy jewelry but have seen some from friends and most of it is cheap stuff.I'm sure you would need all paperwork and who the heck saves receipts from everything you buy? It's the same question that I had with their gold buyback idea....they claim that they will pay the highest going price for your old unwanted gold, yet they claim to buy at the lowest closeout prices on everything to pass the savings on to us. Doesn't make an ounce of sense to me, but then in JTVland it doesn't have to.

Ok .... I don't know what made me do it...LMAO... but I saved every receipt for everything I ever bought from JTV... even kept the part when I sent things back... that half part... I said I was going to put them in a binder for my kids... so when or if they ever tried to get appraisals for my gemstones... Am I crazy... And no I don't like paper... and no my house is not junky...LMAO!. but something told me to keep them... So I guess I'm crazy... and there are alot of them...

You're not crazy....just well organized! I'm always misplacing things...I put them in "safe" places so I'll know where they are and then I forget where the safe place is. I finally got a plastic bin and labeled it SAFE PLACE so I could find my important papers and I still lose things....including my mind sometimes!! Good job if you are that well organized. The other thing is that a lot of my friends who buy from TV *hide* the paper trail from loved ones who might not think it was a good idea?? I live alone, only me and my cats, so I don't have any excuse :o)

This is no different that any of the "protection plans" the other networks offer.

That doesn't make it a good deal.

You could blame your cats for losing the paper work. I try to blame my cat for stuff all the time, but he tells me I am the one to blame not him. :)

Wish I could blame my bird! Although I probably could.... He sometimes acts like a goat! I did see that they had the i n s u r a n c e underneath the jewerly they were selling. Wonder is that just for the one item you buy or is it for everything you buy? and will that i n s u r a n c e cover you against lawsuits? Makes you wanna go hmmmmm

Be careful with that bird....mine loves shiny stuff and has chewed more chains than I want to remember. As for the JewelSafe thing, it is only for that one peice and I believe it's a total waste of money. I don't know how many horror stories I read on a different board about the one that HSN had, and they never paid up. Always found a loophole around it.I doubt that JTV is any better when they try to cheat you out of your return postage after a thousand dollar stone weighs in at less than the stated weight and you return it.! 15 bucks is a lot of money these days!! This happened to my neighbor last week!

I try not to wear anything when holding him!!! he will take my earrings out my ears if I let him.... I dont want their warranty.... Why would I when they say they will take things back if you are not happy! What is the point with the warranty... or i n s u r a n c e .... that's a double negative then! Bad enough I have a bag full of gemstones I don't know if they are any good!
