I KNOW that we have freedom of speech in this country, bUt where the hell was he when he was VP?

I have a message for him:

SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The best thing that Bush has ever done in service to this country is not get in the way of the current administration. Obviously, the Bush administration did a number on our country, so let Obama and Co. carry out their plans.

Cheney - SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't agree more--Cheney kept a low, low profile when he was running the country (you all didn't think Bush had a brain, did you), and now that he's out of office, he feels free to criticize. If he's such an authority, how come the eight years he and the Repbulicans were in office were such a disaster?????

I think that the bush bashing needs to stop. It was not a disaster. There were many things that we didn't know about other attacks that could have taken place but they haven't. Bush kept us safe for a long time. Thank god because i can't go through another attack. I was there in NY for 9/11 and i am still haunted by it. No one will ever know what i went through afterwards. Do you know what it's like going to sleep at night and all you hear is the building's collapsing and you wake up sweating. I know that there are people out there that are still bashing him but his presidency is over with. Bush made his mistakes we all know that. He wasn't perfect in any way. No one's presidency is perfect things happen.

Sorry--I was there during 9/11, too...I was one of the ones pictured on television walking across the bridges because public transportation was out in many areas. You are, of course, entitled to your opinion as I am to mine, but I don't see Bush as being the one who kept us safe at all. We had terrible intelligence all during the period in question, and as president, the buck stopped with Bush. We invaded Iraq--and later found out they had nothing to do with the attack. How many innocent young men and women have died or been permanently maimed because of that move? In my opinion, Bush had the intelligence of a door knob...

It seems like the more he talks, you forget about Bush because he is being quiet as he should. He tried to run the country from his VP office and unfortunately, Bush may have let him from time to time. He is not helping the GOP rebuild bridges.Gore never came out when Bush first came into office and tried to regain the spotlight. He needs a hobby. Maybe model car kits or paint by number or needlepoint etc......Or, join Fox news .......He and his daughter could team up. Or, give him a set of army men and he could play war.

I don't know what Cheney's motives are - but then I don't understand the rest of the Republicans or Rush Windbag either. It is like they are living in an alternate reality.

Why shouldn't Cheney speak out? He wasn't even out offiice before Nancy Pelosi & Co. were all over CNN and MSNBC vowing to "prosecute the Bush Administration for war crimes!" For two solid months BEFORE Obama was sworn in, we were bombarded 24/7 with tons of propaganda about "how lousy the last eight years had been, and how Bush was going to pay."

Pelosi never stopped to think that she herself might be held accountable for her actions (as is now coming to light); but since she isn't a Republican, that doesn't matter. Then again, exactly how much foreign policy experience does Obama have? Are we supposed to happily sit still until he gets some on-the-job training (God forbid)? When is he going to "man up" and quit bitching about how many "messes" he has to clean up? It's easy to bash previous officeholders - but it also covers up the fact that Obama hasn't got clue one when it comes to either American security interests, or foreign policy in general.

The really pathetic thing is how many people are still willing to believe Obama's good for this country. When 9/11 happened, Cheney was on the job - and Obama was off with Michelle, heading for Indiana because he heard that the Sears Tower wasa the next likely target! Gee, sure makes me feel secure.

Yep he was on the job alright. While the citizens of this country where worried about their safety,he was safely tucked away at the Raven Rock Mountain Complex in Pennsylvania. If The Bush Administration wouldn't have been serious about the"War on Terror",they would've kept going after Bin Laden.Instead they stretched our military too thin by going after Saddam to get back at him for trying to assassinate his father in 1993.

I have to be honest here--I admit, as you all can see from my previous post, that I am no fan of Dick Cheney...but I also think Nancy Pelosi is an idiot. She has no more credibility than a dial tone...

unfortunately the American people take no interest in the world mad its politics until they are directly affected, Cheney know this and he is banking on using your ignorance to continue his scare tactics to fool most of the people most of the time. As usual there is no coherency to his babbling. Mostly he is protecting his interests. Dick Cheney screwed the Hallaburton employees when he retired and took everyone's retirement funds and gave himself billions, including majority ownership of the company. He wanted to set up a puppet state in Iraq, just as we did with the Shah in Iran, so he could control the oil industry. Right now he continues to make billions as your tax dollar feeds the many Hallaburton subsidiaries that are raping and pillaging the American tax payer and the Iraqi people. Iraq had nothing to do with 911. AL Quida was never in Iraq until we let them in. The Dick is afraid of being prosecuted and having the truth about him come out. Since 1974 the man has been a back set driver of the Republican party, pulling puppet strings in the back ground , trying to keep under the radar. He did exactly what every corporation that is screwing there workers today except he wrote the playbook years ago. I was dumbfounded when he was elected with Bush and then reelected again! I say water board him and the rest of his cronies. If it is not torture let's see them endure it. I am sure there are thousands of ex employees willing to try their hand on him. Meanwhile all you uninsured must be pleased to be paying for all his freakin heart treatments and supporting him even though he has more money than the national debt! Why are we still allowing all the Halliburton subsidiaries to work in Iraq, they are getting paind by the American tax payer.

A conservative talk show host allowed himself to be waterboarded today and, after 6 seconds, said he hated to have to say it but it was torture. He felt he was drowning.
