Ted finished his radiation therapy last Friday and the Dr. said that things are looking good for the time being at least. They are going to re-scan him in 3 months to make sure there is no recurrence anywhere, but the outlook right now is positive. I have learned to deal with it taking it day by day. I am glad for every good report and don't look to far ahead.

Thanks again to all of you who listen when I do tend to panic and those of you who pray or send any good thoughts of any kind. It means the world to me.

That is so sweet of you!!! Thank you so much and I will pray for all the others as well. I appreciate everyones concern for myself and my mother. I am hanging in here. Just ready to get this ultra sound done and figure out what's going on. The not knowing is the worst. My mom is doing much better. Took her to the drs today and the dr gave here clearance to have her eye surgery SO that means she is doing MUCH MUCH better. I need to get my head out of my butt and see what's going on with everyone else. I will say a special prayer tonight for my special tvtalk family. God knows I love you all.... this is the one place I can come to and get support and advice from so many people. I am blessed and I want to return the favor. I am praying for you all!!!

I just want to add that you are all in my prayers every single day. I haven't been on a lot lately but I do stop in and check up on what is going on. There doesn't seem to be a lot of conversation right now, but I think this always happens during the summer. People are out about and busy. Some of our people have turned into full time farmers I think, LOL. Either that or they are involved with the Mafia.

Anyhow, I think of you all all the time and care so much for each one of you and Thank you for all the prayers for Ted and Deidre. They are both doing very well right now and I absolutely know that prayer is a large part of it.

Absolutely NO! Notice, people doing all the evil in the world pray. There is a reason why "Pray" and "Prey" sound the same.
It is time you grow up and stand up. Religions need to be very, very private (ie: Don't ask, don't tell) or banned. Religious zealots are very, very dangerous - Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu (well maybne not Hindu or Budhist who truly live the golden rule, "Live and Let Live.") The procedure went well....I wasn't in ANY pain on Tuesday, not sure if it was because of the numbing, or the anesthesia, or the actual procedure....

Yesterday, I was SORE. I think it was just from the injections alone..plus my arm is bruised where they put the IV in. Today is a new day, and I'm not as sore as I usually am around this time of the morning...

AND....I haven't had to take ANY of my hydrocodone pills yet today...so that is a HUGE plus. Only because I worry about the addiction aspect of these pills....

good to hear your back,i went to the doctors today had my blood test's done and consultation on my neck surgery set for next thursday their not going from the back to do it their going through the front and i'll be in the horspistol for a day of two it's a differnt way less stress on the back and i'll have screws and other shit in me and the down time with therapy and thay looks like up to 3 months of not lifting anything over 6 pounds. i ain't gonna lie i'm a bit nervous on this thing but he's been going it for years this way and was told he does up to 3 a day tue thru thursday.it'll be a 1 1/2 hour surgery and they siad i won't feel a thing or remember anything the doc tells me when i awake i'm having my older brother there with me as my go to guy and all that they want a family member there through outthe procedure.

I know, my niece and her little boy Connor, who just turned 9 have been out all week with Swine flu. She teaches in a district where it's running rampant, and of course her kids go to school in the same district, but not the same school. So far, Cassidy and her husband haven't gotten it.

My brother Ken lives in Columbus, NE. His kids are all out of school, but two thirds of the district----kids and teachers---are out with this stuff. They had to close the school for a week bc of it. His wife works as a aide in their after school program.

My sil said ( I don't know where she heard or read it) that if you were born before 1957, and are otherwise healthy, you're not as likely to get it or be as dramatically affected by it.

I am supposed to start volunterring at the Pre-K at our school on Monday, but I am a little nervous about the flu thing. I never have been one to worry about something like this, but I have to admit the press does have me a bit nervous about it. Of course, I was born long before 1957 so hopefully I would be in the group not to get so sick with it.

Went to school yesterday and around 8:30 the nurse called her.....he was in her office with the chills, 103 fever, body aches.

She took him to the doctor immediately.

He has H1N1. He is only 10 years old.

Yes, they took him to the lab and they did "the swab" and it confirmed that he has H1N1.

I had a flu test about 3 or 4 years back....the swab...they told me right then and there.

She told me that after they swabbed him, they sent him home and would call within half an hour for the results. I guess they had to wait on the "cultures"....

And they are treating it with Tamaflu. My daughter goes to her dad's house every Wednesday night thru Friday (no more every other weekend visits because of his work schedule) and her step mom called me this morning. She is getting her flu shot today.
