I think they're all so desperate to sell, they'll say anything. That goes for all the shopping channels.

Desperate? Definately! Dawn is wearing a special black shirt with a "JTV TEN Million Dollar Liquidation Sale logo" embroidered on it on the air right now as I type...(yes, yet another special get rid of everything in the building sale). They should be drowning in all of the liquidation by now and buying life rafts and jackets for the call center instead of shirts for the hosts!....unless, could it be....people aren't buying anything??
My neighbor buys once in a while and brings her stones over for me to look at because of my GIA training. Some were great sale prices but were short weighted, some by 50 or 60 points, even though the box states the minimum carat weight. Others are bad cuts, off color, no fire, or even cracked! I advise her to return most of them. She ordered a 1.75ct Tanzanite for 500 bucks and it weighed 1.51ct. That one definately went back. Pleeeze, if you do buy, be careful !!!

I am watching them now also, and they have on the shirts they are selling Russian lab Created Padparadscha Sapphire 3.00 8x8mm Otagonal Cushion Fancy Cut at $8.99... Now here is the problem if I am a customer and I am not buying natural gemstones (or what you say is natural) why would I buy lab created?... DUH!!!!

WoW Gem Geek, I wish you were my neighbor! I used to buy from jtv but their quality has really gone down (as I'm sure you're well aware of) but one always had to be careful & do a full inspection upon receiving their gems & jewelry. Alot went back b/c of cracks & chips. Thank God for loopes! And I was always amazed at their gem parcels b/c the flaws were easy to spot on tv... misshapes, chips, scratches, cloudy stones.
