Shriver in trouble for parking violation

Posted: Monday 26 Oct 2009

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER's wife MARIA SHRIVER faces another dressing down from the actor-turned-politician after committing a second motor vehicle violation - just weeks after breaking cell-phone driving laws.

Photographers caught the Governor's wife breaking the law at the weekend (begs24Oct09), when she left her reportedly non-emergency Escalade in a "red zone" for almost an hour while visiting a doctor's office.

Stopping, standing and parking vehicles are prohibited in the restricted areas.

Just earlier this month (13Oct09), she caught the attention her Terminator star husband - who spotted an incriminating photo of her chatting on a cellphone while driving and fired off a note to TMZ.com boss Harvey Levin via Twitter.com.

He wrote, "Thanks for bringing her violations to my attention. There's going to be swift action."

Ironically the Department of Motor Vehicle's 2009 California Driver Handbook includes a contribution from Schwarzenegger, who writes, "As Governor, I urge you to study this handbook and apply what you learn to help keep you and your loved ones safe."

Aw, read this though:

Maria Shriver mentions her 'infamous' cell phone

Although Maria Shriver spoke openly today at her Women's Conference about her sadness over the August death of her mother Eunice, she was still able to crack a joke at about recently being caught talking on her cell phone while driving.

"I stand before all of you with a broken heart," she told the women at the afternoon session. "You probably can't see it because I hide it pretty well behind a smile." She continued: "The real truth is I'm not fine. … A life without my mother was and is unimaginable to me. She was my hero, my role model, my very best friend. I spoke to her every single day of my life. … I still wake up every day and go to call my mother. I have to remind myself I can't do it. I still have a few messages from her on that infamous cell phone" --- she paused and laughed as the crowd chuckled -- "I'm too scared to listen to them. I'm too scared of the pain I know I'll feel when I listen to them."

A little later, she mentioned that her mother had always called her after any TV appearance and last Sunday, she did Meet The Press. "It was the first time I went on TV and walked out and there was no call," she said, adding, "I hadn't donated it yet. I wasn't driving!"

Arnold: Cali in the Red, and So Is He

Posted Nov 23rd 2009 10:40AM by TMZ Staff

Arnold Schwarzenegger can be influenced by the rich and powerful -- as in, his wife, Maria Shriver.

The California Governor took his Porsche out for a spin in Bev Hills Saturday, and left his sweet ride in the red zone. Since the State is broke, there weren't enough cops around to ticket the Guv, so he got away with it.

We're guessing Maria will call for "swift justice" -- on her cell phone.

Since posting about Arnolds parking violation (4 days ago!) Maria has done it again was caught and when her security guards approached the officer everything was dropped.

Now this (they should be ashamed of themselves) :
Arnold Schwarzenegger: I'll Be Back Taxes

Posted Nov 27th 2009 10:00AM by TMZ Staff

The United States government might have a bigger budget to work with -- if one bodybuilding governor would pay the back taxes it appears he never got around to paying.

According to documents filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Arnold Schwarzenegger owes the IRS $39,047 from 2004 and $40,016 from 2005.

In total the Guv owes $79,064.00 ... and as we all know, he's definitely not saving the money for rainy day traffic violations.

An official at the L.A. County Recorder's Office tells TMZ their system shows the lien is still active.

Calls to Arnold's office have not been returned.

That has got to be embarrassing for both of them.

Didn't she say that she was donating her phone to a charity or something? Now, she can get a better, new one. LOL.

C'mon people, you cant be either serious OR rational in believing that those who govern us, those that are supposedly so concerned about these issues, should follow their own laws.

NONE OF THEM give a rats ass about abiding by ANY of the laws they create nor do they have any intention whatsoever about doing so.

The reason laws like this are created is to generate revenue PERIOD.

It will remain this way until we, the American people decide to get off our lazy cell phone usin WII playin asses and demand that those we elect work FOR US instead of for themselves.
